How could a player go from being so darn good to completely incompetent? He is in rarified air when it comes to regression.

Cause they decided to move it to RT. Plan and simple. I think it was dumb keeping him at RT when DJ went down. Should have moved him back to LT and got someone else who knows what they are doing to RT.

His effort isn't that bad. He's three games into learning a new position when the rest of the line is out injured.
He hasn't been great but he was up against an animal tonight with zero-point-zero help, and walled him off deep only
to have Palmer flushed out past his block on an almost continual basis.

Not from what I saw. What really stood out to me was when Gresham was brought in to help and the ball was snapped and Veldheer seemed not to get a hand on anyone while Palmer got sacked which made me even think did he have a concussion because it was surreal watching him do nothing

Can't speak for effort, but watching him try and move from the right side is painful. I blame this on the coaches, he has likely been this bad on the right all off-season, he just had a dominant side and if h they were going to roll with Humphries at LT, they should have traded Veldheer and gotten a vet RT before the season.

Said it elsewhere: move Veldheer to left tackle & put Wetzel on right. Not sure Veldheer starts when Humphries returns.
Veldheer has zero business playing for the Cardinals again Harry! No effort...pushed around like he was a 140 lb JV player by an decent player, not an All Pro!!!

He made Demarcus Lawrence look like Lawrence Taylor:bang:. That was 1 of the worst individual performances I've ever witnessed by an Olineman in a single game! He was repeatedly thrown around like a rag doll.

The guy mulled retirement & I think that's an issue. IMO once you think about your basically done mentally. He should be cut tomorrow & that's not overreacting.

He was just all around awful tonight, no question. Couldn't defend the speed rush, then it seemed like every other play he was getting pushed back into Palmer. I thought this dude was supposed to be like the Hulk?? Loved him the first two seasons he was here, but I wish he would've retired in training camp.

I thought he and Carson where friends but he sure did not act like he cared about anything tonight. I am going to make a statement now which is not that bold, if he would have played decent we would have won this regardless of everything else which went on. Carson was on, our WRs clearly outclassed the Dallas secondary and 'The Hulk' chose to remain Dr. Banner and single handedly disrupted our OL more than freaking Lawrence did

There's many reasons we lost, but he is at the top of my list for sure. That holding call early on was HUGE. Took away a TD that would've put us up 14-0. Instead we got to watch Dawson self destruct which changed the entire game.
