He retired during training camp...
How could a player go from being so darn good to completely incompetent? He is in rarified air when it comes to regression.
This. This has nothing to do with where he is playing, the guy just is giving half ass effort and it shows
His effort isn't that bad. He's three games into learning a new position when the rest of the line is out injured.
He hasn't been great but he was up against an animal tonight with zero-point-zero help, and walled him off deep only
to have Palmer flushed out past his block on an almost continual basis.
Veldheer has zero business playing for the Cardinals again Harry! No effort...pushed around like he was a 140 lb JV player by an decent player, not an All Pro!!!Said it elsewhere: move Veldheer to left tackle & put Wetzel on right. Not sure Veldheer starts when Humphries returns.
He was just all around awful tonight, no question. Couldn't defend the speed rush, then it seemed like every other play he was getting pushed back into Palmer. I thought this dude was supposed to be like the Hulk?? Loved him the first two seasons he was here, but I wish he would've retired in training camp.
There's many reasons we lost, but he is at the top of my list for sure. That holding call early on was HUGE. Took away a TD that would've put us up 14-0. Instead we got to watch Dawson self destruct which changed the entire game.I thought he and Carson where friends but he sure did not act like he cared about anything tonight. I am going to make a statement now which is not that bold, if he would have played decent we would have won this regardless of everything else which went on. Carson was on, our WRs clearly outclassed the Dallas secondary and 'The Hulk' chose to remain Dr. Banner and single handedly disrupted our OL more than freaking Lawrence did
