There has been a lot of speculation about the Cards drafting a QB. Since we have more pressing needs, I don't think we should. However, just in case the team feels otherwise, which of the following scenarios make the most sense?
1. First round (Carr).
2. Second round (Mettenberger).
3. Third round (Savage).
4. Fourth round (Smith).
5. Fifth round (Thomas).

6. Someone else, plus round.

based on that list....Carr makes the most sense.

if I were running the draft however.....I think I would grab Aaron Murray in the third....reads defenses and has a better touch than anyone in the draft...the only legit knock on him aint even his game,...it's his size......short, with a slight build.....but he can make all of the throws, his reads are top notch and he has the quickest release.....if he were 6'5" 230 he would be the hands down #1 overall pick.

All of those prospects are getting taken (at least) a round too early. So I guess that Thomas would be the best one.

K9, if you're correct, I'd probably go with Mettenberg in the third round. At least he fits what I think BA looks for in a QB.

And I think that's probably fair value, too. But I'm not going to look for a rope to hang myself with if he isn't there, either.

Of the list Carr makes the most sense but he will probably be gone by #20. Metterburgh will probably be gone also. What about Aaron Murray from Georgia in the 2nd or 3rd round if available.

I guess I should read all the messages before I post.

Not really interested in this year's crop of QB.

I think the top four guys in next year's draft are more likely franchise QB's than this year.

What about offering a 4th round this year and a conditional 6th, with possibility to move to 5th round, next year for Mike Glennon?
