Actually, SWD sounds about right to me. Not with Wilson being terrible, because he's one of our most valuable players on defense. But SDW did say something like: "Move wilson up in the box where he will be able to wreak havoc on opposing offenses". Sounds about right to me. There is a whole village of people who want to move Wilson up to LBer. I'm not one of them... but I would like to see Wilson used more as SWD states.

Both safeties left a great deal to be desired. On play after play, Carter look the receiver the entire way down the field, yet neither safety was in position to make a play on a ball. Wilson lacks so much fluidity in coverage, it is hard to imagine him being a factor in future years. Lucas should have replaced him at least on passing downs.

Wilson's a flat out liability at safety. I think that's pretty obvious.

He's to safeties what Michael Stone is to corners. All set from the neck down.

I was amazed at how stiff Wilson looked out there.

Carter made him look silly.

Does this guy possess any athletic ability?

LOL!!!!!

LOL, me too. I was like, Who the F is this "Carter" that made him look stupid?

If I were to guess, I'd say Chris Carter, Minnesota Vikings, although that may not be a fact.

Also, loved the Section 11 joke. Great stuff.

ARRRGGGHHH!

Someone REALLY needs to mark these threads as OLD. I saw this after reading how Q & Dockett are sitting prima dona style with hangnails while A-dub works his tail off with a smile on his face and no cute comments about my team.

I was all ready to defend Adrian's honor.

You definitely had me going.

That said - There are few if any players in NFL history who "could do no wrong."

Adrian has won the respect of his teammates and NFL opponents (That's got to be worth something). But it doesn't mean he consistently grades out at 100 either.

Call me nitpicky, but it still bothers me a little that he took off plays in the Pro Bowl. (I know, I know. It's a meaningless exhibition game; but still: I just believe that - whether you're competing in the Super Bowl or in a friendly pickup game of flag or touch - if you love football, you leave everything out there on the field on every play.

My point - A-Dub isn't God. A-Dub doesn't suck. A-Dub is merely one of the Top SS's in the NFL. But A-Dub is mortal.

Last season, I watched our 280 lb rookie backup defensive end (Calais Campbell) consistently beat our gunners down the field on ST's. Now that's what I'm talkin' about!

I thought this was a new thread at first and didn't even know how to react.

+1 - here's the part of the "Business of Minicamp" article re: AW up on azcardinals.com:

Wilson said he didn’t want to talk about his contract, and expressed surprise anyone would have thought he might have sat on the sidelines. He emphasized he didn’t want to speak for any of his teammates, but personally, he wanted to enjoy life and his family and football, things that can be “taken away from you so quickly.”
“Sometimes you have to let that petty stuff be petty stuff,” said Wilson, who is going into the last year of his contract.
The contract issues can be a problem “if you keep worrying about it and if people keep talking about it,” Wilson added. “You have to be positive in situations. I have said things in the past, and I still mean those things, but it doesn’t mean I’m not going to come here and work.”

Also, if you think Calais had a great year last year on ST, just wait to see what he does as a defensive starter! You heard it here first - #93 is going to have a BREAKOUT season this year...9 months from now somebody bump this thread after we win the Super Bowl so that JeffG, lauraw and I can say we told ya so!

:D

SWD has had some doozies. It will only be a matter of time before we start bumping his "Wiz is overatted" threads and that "Wiz is not the answer" posts. LMAO

Start the reverse mojo going now SWD and start a "He won't amount to a Hill of Beanies" thread. ;)

In fairness, I am not certain the Pro Bowl can even be considered a football game. ;)

Whew!

I thought I would have had some crazy post about how Wilson sucks on this thread somewhere.

I used to slam the guy as well. With Wilson the light kinda went on in his fourth year, and he has not looked back since.
