IMO, he would have been the best center that ever played for us if not for the weight problem. In fact, a long healthy career with the Suns would have ended with him being acknowledged as one of the two or three greatest players to ever wear a Suns uniform. He was already decent but could have been so much better with experience and conditioning.

Oliver was one of my favorite players - for one thing, he was the best pick and roll defender I've ever seen. His timing was perfect and when he trapped on the guard the guy stayed trapped. He was also very good on the full court trap. IMO, part of his weight problem was in the minds of the coaches - they couldn't see past it and recognize how good he was. I have to admit one of the other things I liked about him was that he gave Skiles apoplexy - and not with his play, just having him on the team. IIRC, Scotty got rid of him at the first opportunity - we should have kept Oliver and jettisoned Skiles.

Agree Miller had so much talent. Amazing hands and touch for a guy his size. I still have an O-zone shirt lying around somewhere...

Did Scola get Traded for Danny Granger??

No, but right team. Scola for Green is what I am hearing. Although, that is not 100% confirmed, but the Granger rumor is 100% false.

Yeah Green is the only salary that matches up 1 for 1.

Yes, but since Green's deal is bigger (if rumours about Scola's below 1 mil. buy-out next year are correct) and he is a lot less valuable player, picks (likely IND's 2014 1st rounder) need to be involved.

Green might not have made the roster next year with Indiana
