He’s formally requested a trade out of Cleveland
"While I've loved calling this city my home, my desire to win and compete on the biggest stages won't allow me to be complacent. The goal was never to go from Cleveland to Canton, it has always been to compete for and win a Super Bowl.
"With that in mind, I have requested to be traded from the Cleveland Browns."
I think it is a bit of both. I don't believe Garrett would view the Cardinals as a Super Bowl contender. On the other hand, Garrett doesn't seem like the type of player Monti is looking to acquire (veteran, expensive, higher trade value). He is going to want to play for a team that is Super Bowl ready. Are the Cardinals close enough in Garrett's mind? I doubt it.
What he's worth which is two 1sts and some mid rounds picks. Probably a 3rd and 5th.
Yeah, I'd pay that. Draft picks are overvalued.
Wherever you look at this trades 3-4 years later it's incredibly rare to see that the team had value from the draft picks they got.
Garrett is 2 years older and has a chronic foot condition, no? I think a 1st and a 2nd does it.You are not far off.

A potential trade comp: When 27-year-old Khalil Mack was traded from Oakland to Chicago, the Bears gave up two first-round picks, a third-round pick, and a sixth-round pick for Mack, a second-round pick, and a conditional fifth-round pick. The 29-year-old Myles Garrett, coming off a 14-sack...www.threads.net
I don't think you can discount how much Garrett being two years older could reduce his compensation. Let's start at this, what teams do people think would give up 2 first round picks for Garrett? You are not far off.

I forgot about the foot issue. Good call, you are probably right. I'd do this if the 2nd is next year.Garrett is 2 years older and has a chronic foot condition, no? I think a 1st and a 2nd does it.
