When the Cardinals play the Rams, I think I'll bet the "over".

I mean for crying out loud they completed a 25 yard TD to a lumbering journeyman FB who ran like a 350 lb lineman.

Cory Schlesinger is one of the top 3 fullbacks in football. He's better at his position than Allstott. He's better than Hodgins. He went to the Pro Bowl last year as a true FB. To say that he's a "lumbering jourtneyman" is ridiculous. He's the total package for a fullback.

He may be a "player" but as down field pass reciever? He ran for nothing and wasn't particularly crisp as a blocker. If he's that good he must have had a off day. He is however a "lumbering journey man" when running out of the back field to catch passes downfield in the end zone.

I actually agree with Chicard on this one! The mere fact that Schlesinger was catching passes 20 yards downfield basically as a WR and he was untouched is Pathetic! As a receiver he is a Journeyman! He is an awesome FB and punishing blocker, but there is no way a guy of his athletic ability should be that open in the passing game much less a gifted WR!

Acutally, I believe if you watch the play where he made the big 20 yard catch, you will see Raynoch get screened by a crossing route. It was just a perfectly designed play.

Schlesinger had that 20 yard reception, and an 8 yard TD reception on blown coverage. It's not like he torched us all day.

Ed is overeacting. This was the opener and a lot of good stuff happened too.

Suppose they don't break the punt return and suppose Bryant Johnson holds on to that TD pass. Then THEY are forced to pass on every 4th quarter down, and WE can attack Harrignton.

Anyone see the Titans/Oakland game? Oakland's tackle pulled an Anthony Clement because he couldn't hear either.

I plead guilty to over reacting where the Cards are concerned but most of the time it's born of trying to overlook the bad stuff and rationalizing it away. That's why I sent you that text message yesterday Skkorp. But as for the "might have beens" you know if the Queen had a **** she'd be the King!
