Poll coming...

Where do you stand? This is going to be a simple poll; if your feelings don't fit in the 2 main choices, feel free to post.

Personally, I love Kurt; he did an amazing job this year. I still want to see what Leinart has & feel he's sat long enough. Start the kid. I'm more of a "best for the long term" type than "best for the short term".

Gotta bring Kurt back. He's a winner, he's clutch, and he's a Hall of Famer. He's got plenty of gas left in the tank IMO.

We may very well make the playoffs or win our weak division with Leinart, but no way we have the character, composure, patience, calmness, and precision required to step in up against the best teams in the national spotlight in the playoffs.

The bigger the game, the better Kurt Warner plays. I don't have that same confidence in Matt Leinart. Not yet.

I almost voted for the third option, but he's not going to break the bank. He just wants "starter money." It's been reported on ESPiN that recently that's where he stands. Hopefully, he still feels the same way.;)

I want Kurt back. Not sure he could go a full season again without injury. But that is the risk with any qb.

It is amazing....The Super Bowl grass has yet to be washed off the uni's and we have Lienart threads...lol....Lienart would have us at 5-11 period!!!!! I said this infatically over and over before this season started...and who started and where did we end up? Cant you guys realize Lienart is not in Whiz's plans??? Quick decisions and quick release throwing is important. I am glad to see that Warner is dominating this vote....He only proved it in 4 playoff games.

I wasn't sure to vote for A or C. I basically want to do the same thing as this year. Warner starts, but KEEP Leinart, I still think he's the QBOF. I don't want them to trade him as Warner is old and Leinart could be needed at anytime to step in. Anyhow, I voted for C, but maybe I should've put A? its almost 4am, Im tired and confused :p

A would have worked. :) I didn't want to get into the "trade Leinart", "Well, how much would we have to pay Warner" etc. arguments. I was just wondering, in each poster's "perfect world" which qb they'd like to see start.

This is the kind of ridiculous post that drives me crazy. You lose all credibility when you make ridiculous comments like this. You have NO CLUE what our record would have been if Matt started last season. None of us do.

But I ask you this...is Warner SO BAD that he JUST BARELY beat out a 5-11 QB? Because that's essentially what you're saying. According to everything Whis has said, and I have no reason not to trust the man, it was basically a photo-finish regarding who was going to start. So you're saying that Kurt is just barely better than a QB that would have taken us to 5-11...I think we all know better than that.

If Leinart was that bad, the decision would have been easier, and he's had a whole season to really mature. Which by all accounts (from those in the know & who truly matter) he has.

Well my 'perfect world' involves us trading Leinart and Warner for Peyton Manning :p

You go girl...

I voted for KW just on experience if nothing else. I don't really want much to change from this year to next. I would like to see a lot of addition, and little subtraction.

5-11 period, why not 6-10? Maybe Leinart would have got nicked up and Warner could have gotten us that elusive 6th victory. I just saw who posted this, doesn't surprise me. Maybe they should start a new section on ASFN and just call it Ignorance. That way you and Rockandrolle would have your own private area to post.

Bring Warner back ONE year guaranteed $11 Mil. - team and player option on 2nd year @ $9 Mil.

Keep Matt Leinart.

Either way I will be excited next year. Part of me wants to see if we have our next QB for the next 5-10 years another part wants Kurt to get that ring for us. Either way I'll be happy.

In my opinion Leinart is not the answer

In the current situation where I rate our running game as not even average, Leinart would not have the success Warner has because he does not possess the same accurate and very strong arm that Warner has, nor is he able to make split second reads of the defense like Warner. In my view Leinart was overrated out of college because he played for a team(USC) with an over whelming talent advantage over opponents. This is not true in the NFL where there is parity and scheme/strategy is everything. Personally, I would sign Warner for 2 more years if he wants to play, and look for another QB of the future. Leinart would need an outstanding running game to cover up his deficiencies and make the passing game successful due to effective play action. He cannot make half the throws Warner is capable of making. He has a below average arm. Our passing game will never be better than average to slightly above average with Matt. I'm sorry but that is my opinion.

Damn! I don't think some people on here realize how hard it is to win a title in pro sports. The Jets haven't made it back to the Super Bowl in 40 years. It's been over 30 years since the Chiefs and Vikings made it.

We need to keep Kurt, with Matt as the backup, and try to get back to the championship game NOW! If we don't, we might literally not get back in our lifetime.

Exactly how I feel. I think that Matt is our QBOF but you can't take away what Kurt did.

You dolts rambled on all year about how Matt Leinart should start.

Some of else felt otherwise.

Pull your head out of your ass and see who was right.

You can snicker to your Matty Boi Bootlickers that we are ignorant and that you guys have it all figured out.

But, in reality, we are the only ones left with the credibility.

Not even a worthy debate really... Kurt was arguably the leading contender for league MVP for most of the season. Then we clinched around Turkey-Day, and the entire team lost their competitive edge. Still, Kurt put up a post-season performance that will rank as one of the greatest ever by a QB and certainly for a Cardinal QB...

You never, ever sit a player, most importantly a QB who is coming off of this type of season... ever... This is a pure no-brainer. If Kurt wants to play more ball, you give the man his 2 year deal @ $9million or so, and make him the starter right now...

Exactly my stand. I would hate for them to give up on our future QB without seeing what he's got.
