Some people thought the Titans loss was "devastating" and just unbelievable. I thought we lost to a damn hot team, on the road, on a ridiculous drive, with a miracle catch after we pretty much had played them to a standstill without our starting QB.

Tonight, I witnessed the team I hate more than any other just completely thrash us to the tune of 7 turnovers, yet they couldn't even SCORE with them. They barely put up any points, yet we failed over and over again to score with the ball. We get killed on the road against a RIVAL, a team that players hate, that I hate.

Neither one hurts our chances at making the playoffs, but which one of them pisses you off more?

No doubt, the Niners.
The Titans loss was taking a bullet to the heart, the Niners loss like taking a bullet to each limb, the neck, the groin, the knee caps, the abdomen, etc, and dying a slow but inevitable death.

Tonight.
Absolutely!

No matter what happens from here on out, there will be the asterisk. They beat us twice this year!
It just gives them fuel for next year.
The chance to crush an inferior team within the division and proudly claim the divisional champiomship on a national stage...............................................

Well..........................

Back it in..........................................

Worst Play........................ Blah, blah, blah

We didn't score off those TOs? I believe 24 of our points were all off TOs and we kneld at the end out of courtesy, it could've been 31 points easily. You were the one that scored only 9 points.

The Niners didn't 'kneld' out of curtesy, they took a knee on the chance that a normal play from scrimmage could have resulted in a fumble returned for 6, then an onside kick recovered leading to 6 more. Highly unlikely? Of course, but the odds of that happening are far greater than doing the safe thing and kneeling to end the game.
Every team in the NFL does this(except maybe the Pats).

This.

Losing a game on a 99-yard drive where a team converts FOUR 4th-down conversions is the worst. It played out like the Super Bowl almost to the T.

The Niners game was definitely frustrating with Kurt Warner and the offense laying an egg, but not nearly as maddening was the Titans game that would have been won if the defense made ONE freaking stop.

Wasn't it 3 4th down conversions?

Even so. I'd much rather be competitive and be flat out embarrassed and that's what we were last night. People wonder why the national press doesn't give us any credit. Games like this is why.

For me, it was Titans game.
After Titans game, we were thinking of Vikings & 49ers games with worst case scenario that we'd lose the division in 49ers game.
but we are in better position still with 2-game lead

That doesn't mean anything. The Cards used to beat teams twice in a season and sit home watching that opponent in a championship game. Didn't help us any. As was pointed out last week the Cards beat Dallas 20-7 and 38-0 one year and Dallas played in the SB while we sat home.

Both games hurt. And Donald, for the record I never said the Titans game was "devastating"... I simply posed the question and asked if it was or not.

What can you say about this team. They have been and appears always will be a team that can rip your heart out like no other. With Whiz, we know we can beat any team in the NFL at any time, yet, we remain true to the Cards legacy and therefore we can lose, spectacularly, to any team on any given day or night.
The Vikes game accrued so much respect for this team across the nation. And now, this loss to the 9ers not only rips away any of that respect, but takes this team back down several notches...
We didn't just lose, we got destroyed. The 9ers outplayed us, out-muscled us and out-coached us. Whereas in the Viking game you literally couldn't find one player or one coach who had a bad game, against the 9ers and with the one exception being A-Dub and possible Dockett, you couldn't find one player or one coach that had a good game!

Incredible... :bang:

Well, the loss to the Titans bothered me more when it happened. I know the SF loss is potentially much more important, but that three game lead we had sure helped ease the sting.

You had 7 turnovers, and the Cards were still within reach in the 4th quarter. That's a stinker, dude. Your offense, save two good drives, was unimpressive. You should have scored 40 on us, minimum.

The fact that we still were in striking range despite turning it over 7 times adds to the maddening nature. Your team, its fans, and the players themselves are arrogant pieces of suck. Enjoy watching us in the playoffs, gohome.

Honestly why bother arguing with him? We all know he's a delusional tool!

Titans game pissed me off more right after it ended. Niners game pissed me off throughout.

All I know is that a loss to the Lions will piss me off more than either of the above. And a win will calm us all down.
