STILLWATER — Unlike last year, when Oklahoma State’s Steve Lutz got a late start in recruiting transfer portal prospects, the Cowboy coach is off and running from the beginning.

The Cowboys finished 17-18 in Lutz’s first season, reaching the quarterfinals of the NIT.

Yet with nine outgoing seniors and other departures, Lutz has a busy offseason ahead as he builds the program for his second season as coach.

Here’s a look at the incoming and outgoing players on the OSU men’s basketball roster:

Leaving OSU in the transfer portal

Connor Dow, guard

The 6-foot-6 wing who was selected to The Oklahoman’s Super 5 coming out of Broken Arrow High School in 2023, Dow became a reliable bench player for his effort and toughness. He showed notable improvement offensively as a sophomore this season, shooting 33.3% from 3-point range. Over his two years as a Cowboy, he appeared in 54 games with eight starts.

High school signings and commitments

Here are the players who have either signed or committed to the Cowboys out of high school:

  • Ryan Crotty*, SG, 6-5, 180, Charlottesville, Virginia (Miller School)
  • Mekhi Ragland*, C, 6-10, 335, Lilburn, Georgia (Sunrise Christian)
  • Ben Ahmed, C, 6-9, 300, Putnam, Connecticut (Putnam Science Academy)
