Whis and putting Matty in the game

Hear me out. I'm all for putting the back up QB in the game, but to put him in midway through the third?? I found that to be a very questionable call by Whis. At least wait til the 4th quarter to do so. It gave the Jaguars too much time to make a run. Luckily, they shot themselves in the foot too many times.

No problem with the move. Wasn't exactly mop up time so they could run their offense some and give Matt a chance to maybe get a rhythm going.

Not when he came in it wasn't. When the decision to put him in it was 31-3 by the time he actually took a snap it was 31-10

No it wasnt Matts fault at all. I didn't say that.

With the situation he was put in, its fine to leave him in, but Warner was in complete rhythm with his receivers. Why screw up the chemistry?

Wait til the game is completely secure before putting in the back up.

It doesn't matter. Had they not dropped that ball in the end zone, it would have been a 7 point game with close to 6 min to go.

This WAS a bone headed move... we were lucky to survive it.

Yep. In fact it was the best coaching decision he made the last two weeks. Easily!

I'm not saying anyone's fault. The defense was gassed late in the game in that humidity. Why put extra burden on the defense unnecessarily. We were in awesome rythem... let another series go and make is almost impossible for them.

I don't have any issue putting Matt in... it was the timing that was too early.

The defense relaxed and lost their intensity. They have a bad habit of doing that. This game should have ended 31 to 3. We were that dominant on defense.

Thankfully they were able to pick it back up and close the game out.

Its the teams fault. If Warner is in the game, chances are the clock moves and gives Jax less of a chance to start a comeback. When Whis puts in a rusty QB with a lot of time left in the game, then the clock stops and keeps the D on the field.

Defense only allowed 7 points in the 4th and 17 total. Not as bad a performance as it's being made out to be. We're just so used to the defense blowing leads to lose games.

correct... let Warner play another series, kill clock, probably put some more points on board to completely put away the game and then bring in Matt.

Good point, Bucky. I think it was the wrong message sent to the team also. They went to that damn prevent defense that drives me bonkers.

And would have completed 5, if Fitz had held on, which would have put us in a scoring position. And had Becht made the catch the late game drama might not have occurred.

It was not the substitutions on "O" that was the problem, but rather on "D". IMO
