Hes done enough of that on his own. We are 4-2 and 3-0 on the road. Our poor play calling in reference to clock management was no different under Haley last year at this time. He has been just fine in both capacities!

Not only this but I would venture to guess that Mike Miller is being groomed to start calling the plays, just like Todd Haley was. Just a guess.

I think the coach that always runs out and does the fist pumps and towel waves and hootin' and hollerin' from the sideline after we score is the guy that needs the extension. You know who I'm talking about. John Lott. Sure he's a good strength and conditioning guy, but he's gotta be the best "get back" guy in the league. Wrap it up.

Sorry, this does not convince me a long extension should be granted midseason without some promise to delegate playcalling. We have won despite poor playcalling because of the talented playmakers on both sides of the ball. He did not put most of them on the team but has been a steadying influence on a talented group. I think he should be extended but after the season plays out and we see where we are. Lets not pretend that we have Bill Walsh on the sidelines or a Don Coryell. I have yet to see anything innovative from Coach Whis and dont expect to. What I would like to see is some balance and improvment on our record so we are not seen as a one hit wonder. Beating NY was just the first step.

It really doesn't matter. Unless Whiz and his agent decide he is the best coach in football history and ask for 10 million a year he will get re-signed long before his contract is up.
