In a van...down by the river.
Go look under the Sean McVay tree.....there's gold in them hills.

I love the way you’re thinking but has the tree even sprouted yet considering he is only in his second year as HC, he’s still the youngest HC and he calls the plays acting as his own OC?
Interesting thought. Here's what we know so far.
McVay 2017 coaching hires that have been poached already are:

2017 OC Matt LaFleur now OC for Tennessee.
2017 QB's coach Greg Olsen now OC for Oakland.

Early returns = Not good. Then again, the great and all powerful Belichick's tree sucks too so.....

Haley doesn't give an eff..... That's what we need. Tells it like it is, will tell truth to power.... and hopefully has learned from his missteps. Can he manage a team? I honestly think his mentality is similar to Belicheck in many ways.

he also can bring Larry back to the Arians slot role and also has the added bonus that Larry will know most of what he wants to run already. May keep him around another year or two.

No love for Kliff Kingsbury. I could actually see him jumping to Packers. He may not have the dominant W - L record of some, but he has more experience than Riley. Comes from the Mike Leach tree as a player.

Playing career
1998–2002
Texas Tech
2003 New England Patriots
2004 New Orleans Saints
2005 New York Jets
2006 Cologne Centurions
2007 Winnipeg Blue Bombers
Position(s) Quarterback

Coaching career (HC unless noted)
2008–2009
Houston (OQC)
2010–2011 Houston (Co-OC/QB)
2012 Texas A&M (OC/QB)
2013–present Texas Tech
makes $3.9 million 39 years old. Major QB guru. Only coach who recruited Patrick Mahomes and Bakder Mayfield as QBs.

Prominent quarterbacks that have started multiple games under Kliff Kingsbury:

I wouldn't hate this.

Are you high? Haley is nothing NOTHING like Bill Belicheck. How you even come up with that is amazing.

Oh and you haven't been paying attention Hue Jackson is pretty much taking over the offense since Haley has sucked so bad

Not high. Just think Haley's demeanor over time has become more and more like Bill. Not saying it makes him become a winner, but many coaches who failed have become hall of famers at other locations. Happened many times. Carroll & Belicheck are two such examples.

I think Hue has been in Haley's business since day one. don't get that twisted. He threw him under the bus and I am sure Todd spoke to him about it. There is no way Hue (an OC) hasn't spent most of his time with Baker, the QB's and the Offense this whole season.

As long as Keim is not the one hiring him and is no longer here, I'm good with whoever.

Todd Haley (Browns), Jim Bob Cooter, (Lions) Peter Carmichael (Saints) and Mike Groh (Eagles)are all experienced OCs.

If I have to hear the name Jim Bob Cooter 45 times every Cards game, he better get off to a quick start.

It's like the name JuJu Smith-Shuster... Even if he's only targeted 3-4 times in a given game, The announcers somehow find a way to say it 3 dozen times or more... I think they know it annoys me.

Come on. I need a bit more enthusiasm. If he brings his current DC , David Gibbs, with him, we are talking 2 bright guys on the level of Sean McVay and staff.

Gibbs resume' ;

Coaching career (HC unless noted)

1991–1992
Oklahoma (GA)
1993–1994 Colorado (GA)
1995–1996 Kansas (DB)
1997–2000 Minnesota (DC)
2001 Denver Broncos (S)
2002–2004 Denver Broncos (DB)
2005 Auburn (DC)
2006–2008 Kansas City Chiefs (DB)
2009–2010 Houston Texans (DB)
2012 Virginia Destroyers (DB)
2013–2014 Houston (DC)
2014 Houston (Interim HC)
2015–present Texas Tech (DC/S)

Please note he has NFL experience.

Watch this weekend's Texas Tech/Iowa State game. 2 of the brightest staffs, coaching rosters not loaded with 5* recruits.

One of the reasons, and major reason, to hire a bright college coach is that they will bring the makings of a staff not made up of castoffs and NFL rejects, which is a huge problem with Wilke's staff. Another reason is that most NFL offenses are running Air Raid offenses already with success.

Since 2000 some of the "Bright College Coaches" hired to be a NFL HC:

Butch Davis
Dennis Erickson
Al Groh
Bobby Petrino
Mike Riley
Nick Saban
Pete Carroll
Steve Spurier
Jim Mora Jr
Lane Kiffen
Jim Harbaugh
Chip Kelly

Not many success stories there!

One of the reasons I do like the idea of adding a college coach is that he has experience being a head coach, and that he would have a staff to bring with him.

I do like Kingsbury. Jeff Brohm has a nice resume and variety of experience as well. I like the idea of getting a former QB. I also like Paul Chryst out of Wisconsin.
