A trade I would consider is Clancy and Ross to the Giants for Karerm McKenzie and their young DE, Tuck. They are deep at DE.

I would make that trade in an instant. I doubt that McKenzie is being shopped though, also isn't there a poicy against trading injured players? I really like Tuck though and he will probably become expendable with Kiwi there.

IMO the biggest problem is that many teams are looking for the same thing nas good lineman are starters and for the most part the backups are unproven or will always be backups.

I'm not down on Marcel Shipp, but I think you could trade him to the Eagles for Tra Thomas. And I would make that trade.

William Thomas and I know he is on the downside of his career but Marcel Shipp alone wouldn't make that trade happen.

We all love Marcel's determination, but his trade value is realistically no better than a 6th round pick. Tra (William) Thomas is way out of Marcel's class.

If they're just looking for a stop gap guy I wonder what's wrong with Ethan Brooks or Orlando Brown?

Maybe there's hard feelings from when Brooks was here a few years ago and there might be a limit on the number of guys named Brown you can have on your OLine???

The Chiefs got Roaf that cheap because he wanted out of NO.
The Chiefs were also working under the assumption that he was a year to year deal. The trade looks lopsided now because Roaf seemed reborn after he got to KC.

OT is one of the hardest positions to trade for, because it's one of the harder positions to play in the NFL compared to college and very few teams have good depth because of that. The easiest option is clearly to hope for the development of Bridges and Wakefield.
I agree. If you look across the league the OL doesn't seem to be stocked with much great talent at the moment.

If you were talking about a starter for starter trade, then the best option IMO is clearly Bengals RT Stacy Andrews (sitting behind Willie Anderson) for Clancy or Langston Moore (their weakest position is arguebly DT)
I'd be down with that. (preferable sending them Clancy.) If they want to make a serious SB run then they need to shore up that interior D.
