I've been trolling the internet, but I can't find a list of who we have to resign this off season besides JJ. You could also put it, who can we jettison to make room for new guys? I know someone, if not many guys, know the answer to my question.

McCarty has a player option too.

I thought it was waived as a pre-agreement to the trade.

Edit: Oh yeah. Just remembered Hunter's is a player option.

I was rumored that McCarty agreed to exercise his option as a condition of the Suns making the trade for him. (It's not a huge sacrifice since he can almost certainly get a veteran minimum somewhere). Jake has a player option and it seems likely he will exercise it if his agent is convinced that someone will give him more than a one year contract. Hunter has a player option that he has announced he will exercise. Bo and Paul Shirley are unrestricted free agents.

I could see any of the them leaving and any of them staying. Hunter is the only one of the group who played serious minutes in the last several months, but that doesn't mean the other four are certain to be out the door. A lot will depend on the draft and the free agent market.

Ideally, Jake would leave and the Suns would sign Hunter for the $1.7 million lower level exemption. It would be a wash financially and Jake is not part of the Suns plans.

If Hunter gets much bigger offers, the Suns may have no choice but to find another backup center.

I think there is some confusion on the options.
------------------------------
A player option means, he can take the option to stay with a team for the contract already signed. Or not take it and renegotiate or leave.

When you read in the paper or on the internet that a player has exercised his contract option, it means he is staying, not leaving his team.

(Example, Hunter "TAKING/EXERCISING HIS OPTION" means he is staying with the suns under his current contract)
(Example, Hunter "NOT TAKING/EXERCISING" his option and renegotiating a new contract with either the suns or another team)

A team option means, the team will take the option already signed to keep a player or not take it and let him leave, or renegotiate)
------------------------------------

Here is what I have found with research regarding the suns players for next year.
---------------------
JJ restricted contract, suns will sign him to a new contract.
----------------------
Amare will make 2,589.022 next year, but he is up for his rookie contract option and the suns will sign him to a new contract starting in 2006-2007.
----------------------
Shirley signed a two year contract last year. (no options)
---------------------
McCarty supposedly gave up his player option to come here. That was the reason given for the deal to take an extra week for him to decide to do that, if you remember. (I really think he did give it up)
(There are sources that show he has an option, so we will have to see how this plays out) (It might have been changed to a team option?)
----------------------
Bo has no contract and is an unrestricted free agent.
---------------------
Jake Voskuhl has a player option for apx. 1.9 mil
---------------------
Jim Jackson has another year at 2.7 mil.
--------------------

I think this is right, however, it is hard to find out the real truth sometimes regarding contracts.

I am pretty sure remembering that Shirley was a team option for year 2. Wouldn't make sense to sign him to a fully guaranteed 2nd season at the time.

Just went to realgm and confirmed the Suns hold the option on Shirley for the 2005-6 season.
