I think Rod is going to hire someone he's more comfortable with - so I think it will be Ron Rivera. Da Bears connection again (Note 3 of 4 of our last HC hires had a Bear pedigree Ryan, Tobin, & Mac)

The big issue is how long they wait. If they want Rivera, Cameron, Caldwell, or any other assistant/coordinator whose team is in the playoffs they have to wait until they are out of the playoffs. Can they wait until after the SB? Will they?

I think they hire Chow...too many things are pointing to him being the favored. He has the Bidwill relationship already. He has the Leinart connection. He will be available with less of a fight. He's hidden VY's weaknesses and played to his strengths getting VY an undeserved ROY award. The Fisher and Carroll rumors may have started by the team looking into Chow.

I'll be fine with Chow but I think there are other candidates that would be better from a total team aspect. I don't know how Chow will lead, though he is a brilliant offensive mind.

totally agree...don't get me wrong as i do believe it was best for the team to make the change BUT many of us (including me) were critical of green for bringing in some assistants whom he was very close with who turned out not to be the best and have also been terminated....before the body was cold....it was mentioned by RG upon naming rivera a candidate that he had a working relationship with him while with the bears (duh)....so we can't have it both ways as fans!! by the way if rivera is brought on board...and we would all hope he turns out great...count on him bringing in some of his cronies as well...starting with leslie frasier.
