I respectfully disagree with those that want to win. Say we do and Buffalo loses, Dallas loses, Detroit loses, the Chargers lose and Tennessee loses....we could go to 20th ( not sure of the tie breakers). What does that give us?

It’s not about where you draft, it’s about who. Trae Wayne was selected before Marcus Peters. Alex Smith was drafted before Aaron Rodgers. Sure being closer to the top has a chance to get you the guy you like, but that doesn’t mean they’ll ever pan out. I’ve never cheered for us to lose and I’m not going to start now.

I get that and respect that. In this the year of qb in the draft and so many teams potentially drafting one, it may not be about who we draft but who is available when we draft.

yeah...Like Wentz and Goff werent there when we picked last year

oh wait....they wouldnt have been there when Philly and the Rams picked either...but...
but,...they traded up and went and got their guy...

same as Watson...we sat pat, and Houston traded right in front of us and got their guy..

its like a league conspiracy to keep us from getting our guy in the draft...hell, it may be cosmic even

No Cardinals' fan should want the team to lose, IMHO.

If just "losing out" solved a team's problems through the draft, Cleveland would have several SB wins, right? SMH.

Quitters quit and losers lose. Just win, baby.
Great point Brian re: Cleveland. Well put, well put.

As much as I want the higher pick Seattle is in my top three most hated teams. Beating them would make my day.

Give me a better draft pick over this. Let Seattle think they’re better than they are. They have some real problems for the next few years.

Doesn't matter where you pick, it is who you pick.

Funny. So many teams that are perennial winners always seem to have good rookies, and draft picks.

So, no way.

When you pick players like Haason Reddick with almost endless options of better talent, it is a hard sell to tell me 5 draft slots makes a difference.

Huge difference between picking QBs & literally any other position, though.

Who was chosen before DeShaun Watson last year?

How many QBs before Russell Wilson ?

What round was Brady chosen again ?

I understand your point. Just sayin'. It is who you pick, even when it comes to QBs.

I would still want to beat Seattle even if the win drops us 15 spots. I really, really, really hope Atlanta loses and then we beat Seattle. It would be the sweetest possible end to the season.

I will never root against the Cardinals in any game. But, I won’t lose any sleep when we lose a game that would have made either Manning a Cardinal.

I hate doing it but 8-8 gets us farther away from a high draft pick. Optimal situation?

Seattle wins
Green Bay beats Detroit
Washington beats the Giants
Cincy beats Baltimore
Miami beats Buffalo
Oakland beats the Chargers

That could potentially move us to 10. Not sure about tiebreakers.

Any regrets now?

I'm always cheering for Seattle . . . to crash and burn and, this week, to really muck up their draft picks.
