Jorrick was almost moved to safety upon arriving at Troy, but he won the battle at corner right away. Wasn't a big recruit in HS even though he had plenty of SEC scouts watching him in Baton Rouge. Didn't even get offers from the UL schools.

Had a solid 2008 season, 2nd in pass defense stats in the Sun Belt and Phil Steele named him to his 2009 1st team preseason Sun Belt all Conference team. He returned kickoffs and was second in the Sun Belt in 2008 taking one to the house.

With Andre Roberts and this kid it sounds like replacing Steve Breaston on special teams was a definite priority in this draft.
