This discussion is a very interesting read but to be honest with of you, nothing matters until playoff time. Any given Sunday is what makes football the best sport in the world. If you don't believe me on that ask the 2011 New York Giants (9-7)(had a -4 point differential at the end of the season), the 2010 GB packers (10-6)(won every game on the road to win the SB), or my favorite the 2008 AZ cardinals (you know the story). Get hot at the right time and let your qb maybe win some games which Palmer hasn't done yet when it really matters, but doesn't mean he can't, so I'm picking us as the best. The discussion of us not beating anyone doesn't mean anything when we have dominated every category exempt turnovers. You can call me a kool-aid drinker, but I honestly think we are the real deal. Go Cardinals
This. While it's fun to predict which teams will come out of the NFC based on remaining schedule, difficulty, etc., it really doesn't matter until week 1 WC weekend.
The two biggest contributing factors for a super bowl run imo are
A) Momentum
B) Health
Momentum based on how we handle our remaining opponents and the resulting team chemistry, body language, etc. through losses (I am not predicting an 8-0 finish, although I wouldn't mind seeing it
)
Health as in, one fluke play and your QB can be lost for the season. If we remain relatively healthy for our home stretch, the sky is the limit (notwithstanding our terrible ILB situation... maybe Weatherspoon can find a light switch towards the latter half of the season). We know better than anyone that health may be the biggest factor going into the playoffs. Other teams can have fluke injuries also which can ultimately affect their momentum and play (for instance, the Pats just losing their best pass catching RB...)
