That's easy... enter Ryan Lindley.
Some folks have been talking about drafting a QB early but that aint going to happen, we don't even pick early enough. Trades? The NFL GMs tend to stay away from trading valuable QBs. NFL teams can't afford to pay 3 QBs, not good QBs, the fanbase has to remember that instead of just wanting what our hearts desire.
Truth is, after all that's happened this year, everybody that said Ryan Lindley had no business being in the NFL, they will have to live with my man Lindley all next year as the number 3 QB on the Cardinals roster.
And it all makes sense. If we are making another run at the superbowl next year, we learned this year that we may need 3 QBs. If Logan is in the doghouse for lack of effort, playbook digestion, or just overall not progressing as "the project"... than Ryan Lindley becomes the immediate next man up, as proven this year by the Cardinal moves.
Those who want to draft a QB? We saw what a rookie late round QB draft pick looks like this year... no bueno, even for quarterback whisperers. If we do not want history to repeat it's self, we will have a #3 QB with at least some gametime experience and a knowledge of our offense.
Those who want to sign a free agent or trade to upgrade our strength at the #3 QB position... it's a position we will most likely want to pay the League minimum salary. Keim has been great with the 1 year motivational contracts to certain positions, but the #QB hopefully will not see any time in 2015, so playing time cannot be dangled as a reason to come here.
Ryan Lindley must be closer to God than Tebow was, because he was definitely on his way out of the NFL, and God did give Lindley the ability of being able to complete a pass. Cardinal misfortune has given him multiple opportunities, some of which may have come too early/soon in his career. If he has a decent game on Saturday he will be a Cardinal, once again... next year.
Happy New years, Feliz nav... good luck in the new year and Go Cards!
