The guy has been on scout team for crying out loud. The timing will come. It isn't his accuracy that's missing, its the timing of his throws.

I'm willing to give him 5 games to see if that accuracy comes up, which I bet it will.

Josh hasn't earned 5 more games. He got more than enough.

You know I'd agree with you except all year I said that our WR were too slow that we should have drafted Roy Williams and that even hobbled by an ankle he could outrun our WR backwards but still eveyone insists Josh stinks because he couldn't throw a ton of touchdowns.

How many TD's do King and Navarre have?

It's the WR's and giving up on Josh without recognizing that is what is driving me nuts.

Josh didn't turn the ball over through picks in his starts. That is a fact.

The other two do.

That is a fact.

I maintain that Josh isn't an all pro but that a first time starting QB that had those pick totals with these WR's is better than pure suckage.

What we have seen the last three games is pure suckage.

I say 100% Navarre. I think he showed some great potential out there with a few first game mistakes. He will at least stay in the pocket and look for recievers rather then look at one person and run away. I say give him the rest of the season and see what he has. I have faith in a QB with record breaking stats out of a program like Michigan has the capability to get it done. Where is it that Josh had his college playing??

Navarre, I want to keep Josh for next season, but no need playing him the remainder of this one unless Josh never improves.

Sorry Clif, I don't think 4 wins in 9 games equals a winning record. If Josh was truly winning then I say put Josh back in. Josh was not winning games.

Start Navarre for the rest of the season. The remaining games are for next year. We gotta see what we have.

Please share why Navarre over King or Josh...

Seriously, I think it's a no-brainer.

We've seen the other two extensively, whether with the Cards this year (McCown) or historically (King)...let's give Navarre a chance to finish out the season. See if anything magical happens.

Well I'm happy your glad about it but Navarre stinks and isn't accurate enough for a statue.

There was a very good reason he was a 7th round pick.

Decent Arm, has courage, just can't hit the broad side of a barn.

I knew someone would say only two picks were bad but he had almost 6 one was called back the other should have been picked. It all evens out and 4 picks to one td isn't going anywhere.

To defend him is simply too easy with our WR and RB.

Josh can run, dosen't that much but he can, the other teams we play will just smother our WR and choke us to death waiting for Navarre to throw a pick. Maybe if we had a burner he could be decent but we don't and he can't throw deep accurately anyway.
If you were coaching the Giants, Eli would be walking the streets. Did you really expect Navarre to come him with one week of practice with the first team, make his first start and look like Bret Favre on a good day? Today shows even Bret can have a bad day.

Really it comes down to McCown & Navarre. King is putrid. DG's biggest mistake was that he should have played Navarre if he was going to bench Josh. Did I ever think that McCown was the answer, NO. But I would have been OK with Josh playing out the whole season. The biggest difference I see in these guys is that McCown has happy feet in the pocket & Navarre doesn't. McCown is tentative & Navarre was careless. McCown is fast, but doesn't have pocket awareness. Navarre is slow, but has very good instincts. I have to agree with most that Navarre has more UPSIDE than Josh. We'll only know how much more upside by playing him. Personally, now that we're out of the playoffs, I hope we lose every game to get a better slot in the draft. I'm one of those wretched idiots that was PISSED OFF that we beat MN last year & blew our opportunity at #1. By the way, Roethlesberger was awesome on that last winning drive tonight!!!!!!!

I thought Navarre had a stronger arm? Where was that arm strength? I want to see some zip on the ball.

Without that, I'll go back to Josh.

It looked fine to me. In fact it looked to me like the receivers were having trouble hanging on to the ball because it had too much zip on it.

He started off the game throwing some very accurate passes then...... Nobody open? Let's force one in over here. Game over.

Gotta go with Navarre now.

Might as well finish it out with him (barring injury). If Josh "deserved" 9 games, Navarre "deserves" 4 I would suppose. I'll call the 2 with Shaun a wash and leave it at that.
