Maybe trying McCown with...

A plan to open up the offense and not just try to protect the ball. McCown was playing his last 4 weeks with the "protect the ball" game plan and DG decides that now he wants to open it up... stick JM back in and open it up... see what happens.. if he sucks, then end the JM as the starter discussion and look for a veteran FE to sign for next year and give Navarre a chance to catch his breath and get some experience...
Alex Wood is an idiot and has no friggin clue what he is calling and DG is too stubborn to admit he blew it with this choice for OC...just like he will continue to ignore the fact that his "looking for a spark" QB disaster has cost them a lot more than losses. The team has been put back into the "here we go again" mode and it will cost us some 're-signings' at the end of the season... just watch.
I realize there a lot of JM haters, and I do not believe he is the long term answer, but why f+++ with something that was keeping us competitive (from a chemistry standpoint anyway) and start handing games away while the "spark" learns for a few games...THREE GAMES SO FAR...give me a break, DG's ego has gone into hyper-mode and cost this team, and the fans A LOT of disappointment and doubt...

I'm for starting QUAN.

He played some QB in College and if he's throwing it may put a stop to the complaints that he's lost a step as receiver, etc.

Why not... can't hurt... :D

I say keep Navarre for the rest of the games. We already know King and Josh sucked ass why not give it to the rookie.

Because if you don't start McCown the rest of the way your tanking the year on purpose.

You'r setting Navarre up to fail. Positioning for the draft.

Interesting take. one could say if you start Josh the rest of the year you are tanking the year on purpose and not giving a guy who could be your starter (Navarre) a chance to get some learning experience. Instead you start a guy who will never start in his career again.

Josh is starting this Sunday... but, that aside - how can you say what such certainty that he "will never start in his career again?   .

Check out games 1-10 lol

Right!... and Terry Bradshaw had 6 tds and 24 int. in his first full year, and, no doubt - a city full of people who like you made similar dire predictions.

You... and me... simply do not know the future... unless you are afflicted with the certainty often found in second rate minds. :D :D :D

Josh should start. This is his first year starting and he has done okay. The team was 4-5 with him starting. I would like to win the rest of our games instead of lose them. With Josh starting against SF we will win.

I don't understand the question.

Terry was the number one overall pick. There was a lot expected from Terry, due to his draft position, and it was known that he had a boatload of talent. There wasn't doubt about him. Even today, those first round overall guys get a pass if they play bad. They get a shot, because a lot is invested in them. I don't know if even in today's game Terry could have gotten away with that bad of a season (not that it is right, mind you, just the way the game is today and the way fans and GMs are fickle and don't give long leashes).

Josh was a mid third round pick.

Apples.

Oranges.
