BA should have just told the truth. I'm not sending my boy to play the Jacksonville wolves...errrr I mean Jaguars. With their defense Drew could be maimed for life

Last Monday from BA it was, paraphrasing here, we'll see how Drew progresses before naming our starting QB. This Monday he names BG our starter already? What about Drew's progress? Drew should take the next week off too when we play the Rams.

If Gabbert starts Cards have a chance against Jags. If Stanton starts Jax defense will put him on I R. Sweet victory if Gabbert leads Cards to a win against his drafting team. :clapping:

I worry about the Jags Dline and their DB’s. Both of those units are playing very well. So gabbert is going to have to be good with his scrambling ability and accuracy, if we are going to have a chance to win.

Just to illustrate my previous post.
A look at the Jags scoring defense.

A tall order for Blaine Gabbert, but I hope he does well Sunday.

Nice revenge game for Gabbert. He looked really good until we had to force it, and even then our WRs let him down more so than he was at fault. Jax offense is still garbage other than Fournette. Despite their elite defense they had to eak out close wins against really bad teams recently with a defensive score and some special teams trickery. If we stop their run game and force Bortles to beat us, this will be a close game. If Gabbert makes 2 or 3 plays for us, it might be enough.

Remember Bettcher's defense and how it fared against Tom Savage... oh, joy!

And his decision making. Philip Rivers destroyed the Dallas D on their own turf, because he let the routes develop and went where he should with the ball. BIG problem with this OL this year.
