I wish ARZ would have signed Prince Amukamara to like a 2 year deal as he would be a huge upgrade with what we are looking at the #2 CB situation now. Plus, it would have allowed ARZ to draft Dak Prescott in Round 3 to secure our QBOF and rid ourselves of Stanton. Oh, hindsight.

You can throw out Bethel's college work. Between the coaching and the competition it didn't leave him NFL ready or even close. He's a solid tackler with good speed. He had nagging injuries through the last half of last season but still made progress. He'll get beaten some, as most corners will, but he can be at least an average corner. Williams has a future at corner and could be a good one. However, if they start him now he will likely get beat like a drum. That could ruin him forever. Better to work him in here and there letting him get some serious work on special teams. It may be his job eventually, but hopefully not this year.

It's Bethel's 5th year in the NFL and his 3rd working at CB with this coaching staff. Should we throw all of that out, as well?

Jurecki yesterday said Bethel is on the bubble for getting cut. He has had nagging injuries, he has not developed into a starting corner, and his contract is too high for a special teamer only.
Not saying I agree. Its just what he said. It would not be for this cut but for the final 53.

What sucks is that he is our special teams ace and cutting him would be a huge blow to that unit, but we all know how BA feels about injuries and that will be the kiss of death for Bethel. Its hard to develop into a CB when you can't get on the field especially when you need the amount of work Bethel does to even become a marginal CB in the NFL. What would be his cap hit? Would he be willing to re-structure?

Pay no attention to this. It's beyond silly. He played through his injuries last season and he's on the field now.
