This is awesome news if it proves to be true. Stein is pretty accurate.
I read it again... if he wants it.

Since the 76ers had the last two days off it wouldn’t surprise me if the reported upcoming meeting happened today. It is possible that we made him an offer and he is pondering it over. Either that, or we are meeting during their next break (fri-sat) and we have sent word that an offer will be made and he is pondering whether to accept it during the meeting. Either way, my guess is that we will know by the weekend if he is going to accept the job. This is awesome news if it proves to be true. Stein is pretty accurate.

That’s good to know if true. Thank you for posting.FYI. For those that think that James Jones was saying he does not like to work, in this interview today Dudley says that one of the characteristics of JJ as the Suns assistant GM was that he was an extremely hard worker. He was up early and at the workout facility and talking to people. He intimated that the previous GM was not a communicator but that JJ is in the extreme. He works hard on personal relationships with players.
I think JJ was saying in that now famous quote is that he is not a computer nerd GM. He is a relationships guy. Here is the link.

Why no offer yet?!?
Yes, he will blow this.Sarver is going to blow this just like he did with Budenholzer, isn't he?
Of course he is.Sarver is going to blow this just like he did with Budenholzer, isn't he?
The Suns may to have to pay Williams a substantial contract over a number of years (perhaps four or five years) to get him since the Suns have a terrible record of firing coaches.

Give credit where credit is due, the Suns have an incredible record of firing coaches.
Yeah. I totally understated the situation. They are a machine when processing coaches.
At least we do something well.
The Gambo news is disheartening. It's beginning to feel like the Mike Budenholzer situation all over again.
The Suns should interview Dave Joerger if they can't seal the deal with Williams.
He's signing the checks and he is a major face of the organization. It makes sense, no matter how much you dislike Sarver. It's not like he's sitting down with the secretary for the VP of Facilities. The owner doesnt have to meet with the coach, i'm not sure why sarver has to insert himself in the process. Trust the people you just hired, are they the same people who just did some firing?
Sorry, I meant whatever Coach he hires will be a face of the organization. I wasn't clear.Yes he's sign off on it, that's only what some owners do. I don't really consider him the face of the organization. If I look at another team or any sports team, I don't identify them by the owner. Only teams maybe are the Laker and Cowboys.
