Which of the current Suns players will be traded next? For this purpose, sign-and-trades only count if player is RFA, but the Suns won't have any RFA's next summer. Also remember Scola can't be traded until next summer.

Recent Suns players traded away:
  • Lopez for Wes Johnson & 1st round pick
  • Dragic & 1st round pick for Aaron Brooks
  • Richardson, Turkoglu, Clark for Gortat, Carter, Pietrus
  • Barbosa for Turkoglu
  • Shaq for Wallace & Pavlovic
  • Marion & Banks for Shaq
  • Bell & Diaw for Richardson & Dudley
  • Joe Johnson for Diaw & 2 1st round picks

I voted Channing Frye. He is the guy who is just in the background right now. No one is talking about him much and he probably is not a huge part of our future. If he gets pt and shows signs of having that shot back, there are alot of teams looking for a "stretch 4." People in Clipperland are already talking about him

Just my best guess.

Frye is also my guess, but the fact that he's injured will make trading him more difficult. Once he gets back though, he may find himself out of rotation. Then again, if O'Neal can't stay healthy, then Frye will get plenty of minutes at center.

It's a good guess too since he and Morris basically duplicate each other's skill sets.

Keef is not as soft, it's not even close. Gentry better force him to play in the post... I also vote Frye.

I voted Scola. I don't think anyone is traded during the season, although I hope we use cap space to help another trade at the deadline and get another pick or two. Scola should be traded next draft/free agent period to aquire someone via sign and trade or to better our draft position.

I voted for Telfair to be moved next because if Marshall becomes the Suns backup PG (as one would hope) then I can see Telfair becoming unhappy with the third PG role. He should be worth a second round pick or be a piece of another trade.

IMO, if Frye were to be traded it would have to be part of a larger trade that would involve the Suns including a draft pick(s) for a player they like. Also because Frye is still recovering from injury, such a trade might not happen until near the trade deadline.

I am not expecting any more movement early. This team has already undergone huge changes. They are going to have to get their bearings for a little while and assess.

Frye at the trade deadline, unless some big opportunity presents itself.

Frye still has 3 years and over 19 million left on his contract, was awful last year, is a liability all over the place and is dealing with repeated shoulder problems. He will be next to impossible to move unless we pair him with picks or take back something equally terrible in return.

Right. The reasons everyone wants to trade Frye are the very reasons that he can't be traded.

Gortat and Dudley are the only options that make sense, because they are the only players who might return something of value. What's the point in trading Frye? Just to be rid of him, replaced by some other below-value contract? The Suns need to be acquiring assets, and they aren't going to do that by trading Frye.

That's true. Might as well just pay up on Frye.

Gortat and Duds might be included in a future trade. Gortat is a sure thing so we'd better be sure of the player/pick we get back if we trade him (do a KJ part II trade!?!). I guess we won't trade anyone any time soon, save maybe Telfair, although I actually like him and hope he stays in the rotation.

Personally I'm not anxious to get rid of Frye, I'm just afraid that there won't be any minutes left for him in the rotation after he gets back from injury. Scola, Morris, Beasley, Gortat and O'Neal will easily cover PF & C positions assuming O'Neal can play.

And I think there is still a market for a player like Frye when he's healthy. I would expect perhaps a protected first and an expiring contract in return, but even just the cap space would make things easier next summer when going after Harden.

We wouldnt have been able to get that for Frye a few years ago. I am being absolutely serious here. He has significantly negative trade value. Even if he gets "healthy" what stats do you think he is capable of putting up? No one wants a 19 million dollar play who does nothing besides shoot 38% from 3 if given nothing but wide open looks.

I cannot imagine a team in the league that would take him in a straight up trade, even for just an expiring (there is no chance in hell we could get 1st for him).

Minus Nash, Channing Frye is a poor man's Matt Bonner... except on a really prohibitive contract.

We agree, Frye would have to be a piece in a larger trade.

The correct answer was Sebastian Telfair.

The top two vote getters who received combined 22 of 28 votes in this poll are still on the team. On the other hand, six players are not:

Beasley - waived
Dudley - traded
Johnson - left as FA
O'Neal - left as FA
Scola - traded
Telfair - traded

It feels good to get something right. I voted for Telfair who was traded for Hamed Haddadi and a second-round pick back in February.

Apparently I voted for Gortat. Kind of funny that he's practically the last man standing.
