Boldin.
I knew Boldin would be the consensus but why is that? They both play hard, both make big plays, both are 2nd round picks, and both want more money. But Boldin is loved and Dansby is kind of,meh, take him or leave him. I don't get why that is. You haven't heard of Dansby threatening a holdout(he made some noises in 06 about wanting a new deal, but who hasn't),he's been more durable than Boldin and AW, two guys that are liked better, and he's one of the few guys that was actually OK with the franchise tag being placed on him. The only negative to come his way was in camp in 2006 when Denny called him out and that turned out to be a legit toe injury that DG was blasting him for. Dansby still went out and played at a high level. Boldin says he's saving himself for the playoffs and gets a free pass. There's got to be something, maybe because he's not a media friendly guy, that makes people like Boldin so much more.
WR are harder to find than LBers
Where is Dansby in the take him or leave him category? I certainly dont see that? Where do you see that? We were asked to make a choice and we made it. Doesn't mean we dont want Dansby no matter how much you try and insinuate otherwise.
Absolutely. The Cards have done a great job identifying LB talent. Look: Lance Mitchell, Raynoch Thompson (given an extension from Graves and released less than a year later), Daryl Blackstock, Brandon Johnson, Buster Davis, Orlando Huff... Need I go on?
The Cards have had a far easier time identifying top-shelf talent at WR than they have at LB. Karlos Dansby might be the best player the Cards have had at linebacker in 15 years.
Well it's Boldin by process of elimination now.
No way Dansby gets 9 mil next year, he's already stealing 8 mil this year.
Boldin....2 pro bowls
Dansby....0 pro bowls

How many awards has Dansby won? Records? Pro bowls? question answered.
David Boston is the Cardinals single season receiving yardage leader. Question back on the table.
How many consistent seasons of production did Boston have?
Off the table again
The way Q plays, he doesn't have much longer in the league.
I already know what the answers will be but i'll ask anyway. While most legitimate NFL front offices could get both guys locked up long term,it seems we have a FO that can't/won't be able to do it, who would you rather keep on the team, Dansby or Boldin? Ideally we keep both but,if i had to choose, i'd take Dansby. He's the best playmaker on the defensive side of the ball. He plays when he's dinged up. He plays a position that the Cards are lacking in depth at and,to me, he's more important to the Cards success than Boldin. Boldin is a great WR but he's going to be the #2 WR on a team that wants to become a run oriented team. He wants to be paid like a top WR,and i can't blame him because he is, but the fact remains that Fitz is the premier WR on the Cards. Boldin also has more injury concerns than Dansby. Can the Cards tie up all that money in the WR position? They can,but will they? Boldin is an unquestioned team leader but will he use his clubhouse influence in a negative way if he doesn't get a new deal? On the field, Dansby is a leader but we have no idea what kind of presence he has in the locker room. That could be what the Cards are concerned about. There's no reason the Cards/Graves can't get both guys locked up but we all know the Cards history and shouldn't be surprised if neither are on the team in 2009. Hopefully both are, but enjoy 2008,and give me Dansby in '09.......................... if i have to choose.
Hey that hat you gave me is gettinga whole lot of use this summer. THX AGAIN!
Same here.ill take boldin over any player on the team buddy
This comment is pretty much bunk syracuse. Give me one strand of anything concrete that backs this up?
I'm basing that on a lot of people saying that when Q gets the ball in his hands, he turns into a running back. Running backs typically don't have long careers due to the punishment they absorb. Q has already had a lot of injuries because he doesn't go down on first contact. Don't get me wrong, I love watching him destroy cb's and would be tacklers, but that style of play also leads to more injuries than a guy that goes out of bounds or goes down on first contact.
I don't have stats and all that to back it up, it's just common sense.
