I haven't been able to actually watch the spring games. But from the stats it seems Kata is the 2B guy.. Am I right. The "official" D-backs site has Alomar at 2B. Of course it hasn't been updated on the depth chart since December.

If Alomar is still in his 2 year funk...Kata should be able to come in and take over quite nicely. Unless Alomar has a monster year I say he retires after this year and all of the sudden the job is Kata's to lose

Kinda reminds me of a former 2B when he first came out. Spivey..... He had a stellar Spring and exploded on the charts...

Alomar is the guy. He got hurt a bit, but towards the end of the spring he started to look better. I think he'll have a solid year.

They made need Kata to play third if "SHEA Little hands of stone II" starts bootin the ball every game like he did last year.

Shea will be fine.

I like Kata, but last year he really faded. They say he was hurt, but if that's the case then he shouldn't have been playing, ala Matt Williams. Hopefully Kata will have a very good year as our new Counsell.

I believe that Shea is going to surprise alot of people with steady fielding, if he is allowed to stay at 3B as the D'backs have indicated.

An infield of Sexson, Alomar, Cintron, and Hillenbrand, backed up by Colbrunn, Baerga, and Kata, sounds pretty solid.

Even if Gonzo and Sexson switch positions (as has been suggested in another thread), or if Kata gets alot of playing time at 2B, we'll be in good shape.

I agree with you but i just dont see the benefit in moving gonzo and sexson. If Gonzo is to hurt to play then we will have to play someone like Tracy there. I think it would be crazy to ask Sexson to move from first.

I would agree with this if Spivey would stay healthy for the majority of his career. However thats one hell of a big if considering he had a difficult time staying healthy for his career thus far.

He's like 30 years old. His prime is past him.

We should move Kata to right. Forget Danny. Kata would make the move perfectly.
