I'll probably get blasted for saying this, but San Antonio won because they WANTED to win more than Phoenix did.

That one of the most overused and inaccurate cliches in sports history. You would have to be ignorant to say that anybody on the Suns roster didn't want the title this year as bad as San Antonio. Especially, considering all the hard work each player puts in over a course of a season. Consider yourself blasted.

San Antonio won because, 1) coach D got out coached. 2) San Antonio has a better team. 3) Both 1 and 2. 4) Stat and Diaw had a mental lapse and it cost the whole team. 5) All the above.

Better Team Crash? Don't think so if this series is even remotely officiated fairly the suns win in 5. Sorry but letting a team beat up another team is not good officiating. The better team DID NOT win because of this! Any team that is permitted to foul at will and not get call for them of course has a HUGE advantage, BS suspensions aside.

Any Spurs fan who wishes to dispute this can refer to the Mavs/Spurs series last year. They were all saying the exact same thing, and they were correct.

This is the deal. We need to get better. Even if better means tougher, then that is what we need to do. Did SA get calls in their favor? They sure did, but that happens in the playoffs. The more aggressive team will get a lot of calls. We need someone in the middle that wont let people drive in for lay-ups. Then we can tighten the perimeter defense.

Good thoughts Crash, but thats not why we lost the series. We lost cause we got screw with the suspensions and Bowen was permitted to foul the crap out of Nash the whole series, do you disagree? Nash and the Suns would have been at the line damn near the whole series if they would freakin call a foul once in awhile. Seriously I have never seen such blatant ignorance of the refs to just let them molest Nash without calling fouls, that changed the whole series period! Have you not watched Nash the past few years? His game is way better than he was able to play with all the fouling, and to his credit he was yelling at the refs game after game call a f@#$@ foul, yet to only be ignored by the refs!

K... All the calls went our way...

Go watch the 4th quarter of game 4 again..

Go watch Duncan get called for a charge against Nash in the 2nd quarter of that game when Nash is in the Circle AND moving... I thought he was going to hurt Duncan by undercutting him... Jack Nies made the call 15 feet in front of me... it was absurd...

If you guys are going to argue that we got all the calls just take that game 4 out of there it is ruining your average...

I agree, Nash did get molested the whole series. I watched all the games except game 4. I was working late for that one but I still caught the end on the radio. McCoy was pissed to say the least. So I was pretty sure we got screwed. Thing to remember though, The calls almost always go for the aggressor in the playoffs. (Not that it's right) but that's the way it is. I'm just saying that we need to toughen up.

I am not gonna whine about the calls but I just want to point out one thing I noticed in both series this year. I think it is interesting to see when a lot of the calls do and do not get called in the Suns favor. They seem to get the calls when we really don't need them and they don't get the calls when we really do. It is not completely impossible to believe the refs will appear to call the games evenly when looking at the number of total called fouls but when you actually look at when the other fouls occur and whether we don't or do get the call that is the baffling part.

Exactly when we get calls its when they don't mean squat, then we don't get the calls when we should and at crucial parts of games! Then all the spurs homers say look at the total #'s as it means the series was called fairly...just really bad officiating to say the least.

Oh, I was here.

Ah. So you were banned and came back with a different name. Gotcha. How you liking your Spurs and Jazz series? Certainly not as exciting as the Suns Spurs series. Hopefully the Jazz will take the next 2 at home.

Right on. And banned for far less than what I've seen just perusing the board today. I'd ask for an explanation, seeing as how I'm a Suns fan, never talked trash, and simply said I thought the Suns were out coached (which I'll say to my dying day, I really think the Suns go nowhere unless D'Antoni gets it together or is replaced). But I'd probably get no response. Oh well.

Anyways, Spurs/Jazz series is certainly not as exciting as the Suns/Spurs series. No surprise there. This is where reseeding would come in really handy. We could have been watching Suns/Spurs now, and the whole thing may have turned out differently. Pity.

Simple and clear. It sounds quite fixable to me.

Also the Suns could use a decent backup PG (or a 2/3 that can play some PG) and a F/C that can play a little defense on Duncan... perhaps a player like PJ Brown. Nothing fancy.
