- 2 turnovers that were converted into 10 points
- Stupid penalties on special teams keep putting us at awful field position
- Did defense board the plane to the East? I hope so otherwise we come back 2-2
- Horrible call to punt on 4th down at midfield with only 3 min left and defense playing crap

Coaching, Defense, Kurt late.

Whis managed the game poorly, made a horrible decision when it counted most and watched an uninspired team take the field.

Defense was absent.

Kurt is a statue, completely unwilling to try to make a play late. No excuse for the guy who "won" the starting position. Was not there when we needed him most.

Its hard for me to put the blame on Kurt for this game, He isnt Keanu in the movie Replacments where he can just call whatever play he wants. Kurt was PISSED today. They took away his TD and that INT was total PI

He played great for part of the game, but he did nothing late. He may not make the calls, but he can change things. I was upset about his lack of effort at the end. He held on too long, stayed in the pocket too long and did not adjust to anything. The interception was a judgment PI call. If it was called, great. It wasn't he underthrew the ball, then overthrew breaston later. He deserves about 10% of the blame. 45% for both the coaches and defense.

We lost because we had a lower score.

The refs directly assisting in ensuring it stayed that way helped.

3rd down last offensive series. Linebacker chucks intended target Hightower in the chest knocking him to the ground with the ball in flight.

Disinterested referee looks on from a few yards away....

The single biggest problem was the officiating.

I was bad all around, it was crucially bad for us.

The guy was beating up Breaston on that interception and yeah the coaching was off, Kurt wasn't playing with urgency, we should have gone for it on 4th and 4 that was just boneheaded coaching on that.

That's a tough road game to win, the best test would be the Jets, they're beatable, more so than the Redskins, who are pretty good.

You can't beat the Refs and turnovers and marginal coaching, in that order.

If the play clock hadn't expired and the call was really a bad call, then we lead at the end of the first half. The running game looked pretty good today. If we lead, maybe we run the ball more. Then it goes into the books a la San Francisco. Ugly, but a win.

In basketball the "horn" sounds when the shot clock expires. Is there an automated system in the NFL? Maybe there should be.....

I think the defense and the play-calling are responsible for this loss.

I could have carved up our defense today. Breakdowns throughout the secondary and absolutely no push up front. Whiz needs to lock the doors to the hotel this week otherwise it's going to be ugly next weekend against the jets.

As far as coaching is concerned. Not going for it on 4th and 4 was one of the more boneheaded plays I've seen in a while. But our coaching staff was slow to make adjustments all day.

Defense was very bad...no pressure on campbell at all. Secondary breakdowns all over the place.

We could not stop the run, at all.

Lost the turnover battle 0-2. The turnovers turned into 10 points.

Leaving Cooley with guys like Francisco on him.

Basically giving up and punting to a team on 4th and 4 on the 40..a team we couldn't STOP THE RUNNING GAME ON.

We lost because the game was rigged. It was like watching the old WWF. "Make it look good guys but you are not winning." Even the announcers said the Cards looked like they weren't really trying. The NFL did a good job with the script. The flag on the long Skin TD pass was really clever.

It was a team loss, no one individual was to blame. I thought our special teams are still struggling, especially when on defense. And all the penalties that we didn't have in games 1 and 2, we saved for today's game. Now I need to get a job to replace all my A$FN money.

We should have gone for it on that 4th and 4 but Kurt really pissed me off on that 3rd down. We only needed 4 yards but he kept looking downfield. I'm fine with that early in the game or on 1st or 2nd down but when it's critical to keep possession of the ball just take the easy first down.

I SAY; the D couldn't make a stop when it COUNTED. AND, Warner was awful. I knew exactly where he was throwing! He had happy feet. He was just too cocky today. His best pass was Urban's. I'm not bashing him. I know, when he looks at it, he'll be on himself, but he missed his checks. got the ball knocked down a number of times and looked like a cat on a hot tin roof. By this point in his career, he should be the consumate professional. Nothing should rattle him. He was in a BAD zone today.

Our DL is hurting without Watson.

Our blitzs are way too slow and predictable.

Turnovers and penalties

We need more speed in the backfied. Minus the fumble, Edge was tough today but left so many opportunites out on the field for big runs.

Turnovers and penalties.

The two we had were bad but the defense needs to force at least one.
No big plays from the defense at all.

Penalties on special teams really hurt.

I can't get too down about this loss. Washington is tough and I figured we had about a 50/50 chance of pulling it out. Up until the INT I thought they were going to do it despite the slow start and bad penalties.

Win next week and they are 3-1 at the quarter turn with 3 of 4 on the road.

I'll take that.

Over and over again the Skins converted crucial third-down plays. If it wasn't no pressure on Campbell, it was checkoff to Cooley or Portis for a first-down. The tackling by the defense was poor.

The Special Teams penalties started the offense off in a hole several times. One special teams penalty might be acceptable, but over and over and over again is just assinine.

Warner looked beaten in the 4th quarter. For whatever reason, he just looked pi$$ed off instead of motivated and confident. He better get his head screwed on right, the team needs him confident and in sync, not pi$$ed off and steaming on the sidelines.

There was some good stuff. Nice breakup by DRC on a short pass. Good production from the run game. Nice long TD pass from Kurt to Fitz. And Ben Patrick and Tim Hightower both looked pretty good to me. I'm all for increasing TH's reps.

The dreaded 9 yard CB-cushion.

Late in the game screens killed the team.

Kurt looking downfield too long, looking for the big play and getting nothing.

IF this team shows up for the Jets than it's another loss.

Loved the Urban play and getting Rolle involved in the offense, it shows a willingness to be creative.

The refs annoyed me, but you can't hang a loss on them, a team has to overcome all kinds of obstacles, including the kind with stripes.
