No way, do you hate me that much, that you want me to watch THAT team that closely?

No but you should be able to know that Skelton was only sacked once yesterday.

But then there are so many sacks every game I guess even that might be too much to ask. :)

Yep, and too many unblocked defenders.

They do tend to go together. Like Beer and MoreBeer during recent Cardinal games.

Beer is unhealthy!

But I do have it graded 102 out of 100!

Two things about Beanine. He could just be suffering with the Sophomore jinx or someone who is coaching him and trying to stop his fumbles, has basically altered his running style (standing up too straight?) and has taken his natural balance away from him. He is not the same runner he was last year.

At the present time, Hightower is the better back and is playing because he deserves to be in there.

Can we please stop with all the rooting for an individual on this team and root for the team as a whole? I'd like to see both of them in there at the same time, but until we get the O line fixed, neither one is going to set the world on fire.

As long as the Cards are going to throw the football 65% of the time Hightower needs to be in more than Wells.

My issue with Beanie is that I think he rarely gets the most of out his runs.

If Beanie wasn't so prone to shoestring tackles he would have 5 or 6 runs this year that he could have taken the distance. The dude just doesn't have elite back balance, his center of gravity is high.

Hightower on the other hand runs hard and while he doesn't have the physical tools Beanie does, he gets more out runs once he gets to the second and third level.

and here's the bottom line... neither of them is very good.

I used to think Beanie was getting the shaft, but what I've realized is that while I think Beanie has better athletic ability, HT is just a slightly better football player than him... which isn't saying much.

I dont think thats really the case either. I think they both could be successful IE good if they weren't running behind a below average OL and had a QB that could actually play.

75% according to the broadcast yesterday :bang:

Which is complete bunk. There were 48 offensive plays. 29 pass attempts and 19 rush attempts.

You would need 36 pass attempts out of the 48 to equal 75%.

Dont believe everything you hear.

Oh yes totally agree. I dont think are in AP/CJ/Turner category and never will be. But they are more than adequate for an NFL team to be successful IMO. If they have the right pieces around them.

I heard 75% mentioned on the postgame radio show, but the numbers for the year say 64.5%. Still very unbalanced with the weapons we currently have. We all heard about how much more we'd run the ball but it never happened. We pass more than ever.

With no dominant QB you'd think you'd run more. That's the line we were fed coming into this season.

We ran well to start the game against the Rams, got a lead, and began to pass more...

On a flying cocoon

All of our Oline supposedly have strengths as run blockers. We just have a tendency to abandon the run at the drop of a hat.

We were in the game at the half when we seemed to have a balanced offense. Then we went to the spread as we always seem to for some unknown reason (when you're QB can't make plays why pass it more?!) and then the game was over.

The only variance in the formula is how early we give up on the run and there have been plenty of times where we have been in those games. It makes ZERO sense

Well there were four sacks, so that's at least 33 passing attempts, and I don't recall if there were any penalties that affected some others.

Bucky, you were off by a week. The Cards threw the ball 76% against the 4and9ers. 36 pass plays 11 runs.

I see your point. But "Got a lead?" 6-0? That is not much of lead, unless you are playing the Cardinals.
