Haley's the best OC the Cardinals have ever had. Helped take the team to the SB where they put up over 400 yards of offense on the NFL's #1 defense. No other OC in Cardinal history has done that. Franchise record in points scored in 2008. Cards scored half a hundred points less the year after he left.

Responsible for the offense that resurrected Kurt Warner in 2007 when Cards scored almost a 100 points more than in 2006. Only Cardinals OC in history to have his team score over 400 points in consecutive seasons. Only had that bad season in KC because of injuries.

:p

Duck, there could very well been more going on that what people in AZ are aware of during the year following his playoff run in KC. Pioli with his micromanaging was phobic about what was going on with the club. I saw reports coming out of KC that he actually had the listening devices in much if not all of the team's facility. I would not be surprised if beyond the injuries that Pioli was being devisive behind the scenes.

Haley's temperament might be enough to push a player's performance in the short-term, but I'd be worried that kind of emotional approach would burn players out mentally within a couple of seasons.

Contrast that with Horton who has previously talked about getting to know players and knowing which buttons to press with them. Horton didn't have any issue benching Fleming and explaining why or adjusting Wilson's playing time when he thought it was warranted, so he challenges players in his own way.

I think it's funny that alot of people have been giving Haley credit for everything successful under Whiz, but it's almost 100% that no one wants him as the HC.

I don't want him either but I have never been on the bandwagon that he was the reason for the Cards success and gave the credit where it deserved to be, with Whiz.
