Wish Nash holding the fort for the most part @ PG, and Barbosa is shaping up to be a great backup, where will eisley's minutes go?

He'll probably be the wealthiest DNP-CD in the league.

I don't know about that. Tariq Abdul-Wahad has played in 38 total games over the last two seasons, and his contract still has a whopping $22 million left over three years. Sure, he's been "injured" a lot, but even when he's healthy he can't get off the bench.

With Barbosa not really a PG and the Suns going small a lot of the time, Eisley will have minutes to play as long as he can handle them competently.

I think he might even be a player they put on the injured reserve. I don't know of any player on the team that has a smaller role right now. He is by far the least talked about player on the team in terms of how he figures into the game plan.

I hope to think that after BC got rid of Googs and Pennys contracts in trades. He can pull one more trade for someone who needs a Point guard ( Mavs, Portland, ) and get some kind of true center out of it. I might be giving BC to much credit.

I don't see it. The Suns want to run, so Eisley won't be on the floor (unless Barbosa continues to get into foul trouble).

IMO Casey Jacobsen will get time before Eisley, and probably beat Eisley in assists per minute.

I think If Quentin Richardson comes, then no doubt we have to trade Eisley for a big man.

If the Suns get Q; barring any injuries I dont think Eisley will see any minutes at all

With Nash, JJ, Q, CJ, Barbosa, Eisley; there are too many guards ahead of Eisley to for him to get any minutes

The only reason I would think Eisley would play is to show case him for potential suitors in a trade

If the Suns get Q, I'm inclined to agree.

On the surface, the best bet still looks like Eisley for Pollard of the Pacers. The numbers are close, Pollard got minimal playing time, and the Pacers don't have much depth at PG. Also, the Pacers are not really a running team, so Eisley's preference for a half court game makes sense.

My guess is that the Suns will have to throw something in the pot to get that deal, but it looks pretty even on the surface.

Pollard was better before he got hurt. Now I don't know.

We are told that Pollard was injured a lot last season, but that may just be an excuse.

In any case, we are pretty sure Eisley is not going to get many minutes while even an inadequate Pollard might get 10 to 12 per game.

I meant in 02-03. He had some sort of major back injury, and I think maybe some vertebrae had to be fused together. Anyone remember the details?

Last year, he could have been still recovering, he could have picked up other minor injuries, or he could have just outright sucked.

Unless the Pacers are going to take Howard Eiseley and not much else I wouldn't have much interest in Scot Pollard. At this point he would probably be only a slight and possibly no improvement over Jake Voskuhl.

BTW I believe Lonnie Jones is still out there. With Cleveland acquiring three frontcourt players for one it becomes less probable that they would sign him.
