no, Ball will never become "a Jason Kidd type player" because he doesn't have the passion
and can't be a good defensive player without that passion either

and i agree that even if he improved in phx it would only be a stepping stone back to LA

if he and his father are interested in phx now, it's only to use us

Well some point guards were shook loose in this trade. Maybe the market opens up.

Why does every GM covet Lonzo? Why is Magic never speaking of trading him? You all are watching and seeing Lavar every time you watch him. But I guess by the way you guys talk he's garbage....worthless and not an NBA player. Glad I have my own 2 eyes and hope to God he becomes a Sun cause he's going to be a great PG

More media hype to further trade talks? I hope so, but if one of our guys is reporting the same, then sad to say it might have merit.

I hate to say it but this sounds like a Sarver move, not a first tier player but a means to fill a gap.

...for the Lakers or Clippers in 3 years, when he is back in LA, where he wants to be.

Very much a Sarver move...and the final nail in the coffin for this franchise.

All the reasons that have kept the Suns in the cellar are obvious. That and a few bucks will get you a fast food burger deal.

We're stuck with "the worst owner in the NBA" and it all trickles downhill. Not just to lower management, but to the players. And to the Press and fans as well.

Damn, I hate being a pessimist. Rooting is supposed to be fun. As a Suns fan, I know to not root for championships, but there is a monumental gap between that and the Suns of this decade.

Sorry we are just going to have to agree to disagree. He is not my ideal solution at PG - but I like him more than a Rubio or Collison or something like that which is where I think we were headed.

In terms of advanced stats, I will concede they paint him as a good defender (#9 in the NBA among point guards in DRPM), if you will concede they paint him overall as one of the worst starters in the NBA (overall RPM of 0.07, good for #29 in the NBA among point guards, worse than Eric Bledsor, Mike Conley, Darren Collison, De'Arron Fox, D'Angelo Russell, D.J. Augustin, Patrick Beverley, Malcolm Brogson, Fred ValVleet, Cory Joseph, Tyus Jones, Ricky Rubio and George Hill).

You wanted us to trade for Wall which would be a disaster. But no to a legit PG who every GM would love to have? They all must be stupid or are working on deals for Wall right now

I like Collison 1000 times better, and I consider Ball to basically be Rubio, only financially cheaper (which I'm sure is why he is Sarver's target now), but with a bad attitude and destined to leave as soon as his rookie contract is up.

I mean I think you guys are ridiculous. You scream all season how incompetent the Suns are for not getting a PG. But every one that becomes available like Dennis Smith or now Ball is supposedly total garbage the suns should not acquire.

I seriously wonder what you are expecting? Steph Curry for the Milwaukee pick?

Like I said before, Wall at least conceivably would want to be here and would actually put forth effort, and he shoots well enough to keep opposing defenses honest.

Ball has an attitude problem, doesn't want to be anywhere outside of LA and can't shoot well enough to keep defenses honest or to remain in games in crunch time when he might be needed to hit free throws.

Gambo pushing a Ball for TJ, Josh, or Mikal along with picks trade on Twitter.

Am I going nuts? I wouldn't give up a 2nd for Lonzo. He's hugely overrated.

There were targets I liked better than Dennis Smith, but I would have at least been okay with acquiring him if the price was right. There literally is not a single point guard in the NBA I want less than Lonzo Ball.

What do you mean "nice try"? If you are going to rely on advanced stats for his defense, you HAVE to rely on the same advanced states for his overall effectiveness.

You have any evidence to back up all this only LA crap. Everything I see is he wants to lead his own team

How about every single word out of his mouth since he declared for the draft?

Warren and a 2nd or Okobo would be as high as I would want to go.

Mikal would be way to much, and Jackson has shown too much promise in the last month to ditch now. It has to be Warren
