If the price is right, that would be a nice way to go. Although I'd worry about the impact it might have on our long shot Zion quest.

I think a small addition could get the Suns through the season and not seriously jeopardize their slim chance of getting the number 1 pick.

If they bring in a point guard upgrade for like a second round pick, I think it would ease the frustration on the team and the coach.

There must be someone out there.

Porzingis used the terminology "Stay Woke" as a message for Knicks fans after his trade.

And Devin Booker talks about the trade deadline like a reality television show where players determine their future:

“I actually enjoy it,” Booker said. “I think that’s why it’s the greatest show on earth. You have so many competitive guys in one league that want to be the best. I think it’s to the point now where the players are figuring out you have more power than you thought you had back in the day. They’re controlling their future. They’re determining their future. They’re going with their plan and they’re rolling with that.”

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“For us as players, I feel like it’s totally fine if a player determines what his future is going to be,” Booker continued. “So I’ve talked to guys around the NBA all the time. It’s their future. It’s nobody else’s life. Whatever you want to do with that moving forward is up to you. Obviously everyone has different plans in mind for what you want to be remembered as, but for a player to do something that he wants to do, I totally respect it.”

I think the message for Suns fans as well is "Stay Woke."

Actually the Suns have been very restrained thus far.

I think the Lakers have as much a chance to out maneuver themselves as anyone. They took on an aging Nash and now they are building around an aging Lebron.

LeBron is the least of that teams problems. He might not be able to single handed turn the team into a legit contender anymore but it was a great move getting him.

I just don’t recall a team helping a division rival ever being a good move. Can you?

Divsion rivals greatly reduces the options. There are examples.

One is where the Suns bought out Chandler so the Lakers could sign him.

And then there is the Steve Nash trade to the Lakers.

There must be more.

Bogdan Bogdanovic trade to the Kings is another one.

Players at the end of their careers is not the same as helping a division rival get a younger piece for years to come. Two different animals. I would say there are ton more examples of those types of moves haunting your franchise then helping.

Saw this a few minutes ago, but when I clicked on it I got the response, "page not found"
Anyone see this and actually read anything? Any truth to it?

It is a skeleton format for a writer if the trade actually happened. You might want to check out the previous page.

The rumored trade of Lonzo Ball to the Suns is getting so much attention I'm beginning to worry the Suns might trade Jackson. Hopefully it's all hype.

Please say no to a Josh Jackson trade.

From a Duane Rankin article at azcentral:

Let’s just say Lonzo Ball ends up in Phoenix before Thursday’s trade deadline or as the clock strikes 1 p.m. Phoenix time.

The Suns will be without one of their young players, likely Josh Jackson, and possibly a first-round pick — and still have a starting lineup with an average age of 22 years old.

PG: Lonzo Ball, 21 years old

SG: Devin Booker, 22 years old

C: Deandre Ayton, 20 years old

SF: Mikal Bridges, 22 years old

PF: TJ Warren, 25 years old

Like Ball, Jackson is 21 years of age, too.

If we do that James jones should be ridiculed. Same draft, 2 spots apart, JJ has actually had more flashes of success over the two years and doesn’t come with Lavar baggage. I honestly wouldn’t want to give up JJ straight up for ball at this point. I’d prefer to see what we could get in offseason. And I’m what passes for pro-ball these days.

I’m guessing the 1st rd pick is the Bucks pick and not the Suns own pick (even with protections).

You going to be eating your words on this. Lonzo is the PG we need. Will be interesting to watch the dynamic of him book and Ayton. Very exciting if this goes through

This would be a serious mistake to trade Jackson for Ball especially since he is showing signs of becoming the player Suns fans envisioned.

And the Suns do not even have a GM.

Can we stop with that narrative? There is a GM, in fact we have 2 splitting the GM duties. Jones and Bukstein were announced as covering the position in the interim after McD was let go. Even though many assumed Jones would take the position over full time there is no rush on giving him the position officially if he's already doing that job. If for some reason the Suns go a different direction then it'll be easier to accomplish with how things are currently than if we already gave Jones the job without the interim label. It's not like moves haven't been made either as we have completed trades, free agent signings, and g-league moves since Jones and Bukstein took over. There is nothing to show we're limited in some way because Jones or someone else isn't doing that job without the interim label.

Of course you know I was talking about an official General Manager.

I wanted to believe you were talking about an "official" GM rather than how some here talk about it like we have no one manning the position. There seem to be 3 of them now that parrot each other and I was a little worried they got to you because they're in virtually every thread echoing the same nonsense. At this point I'm not sure any of them are actually Suns fans because I don't think they've said a positive thing about the team all season, even when we won 4 in a row they just talked about how that was in spite of the coach rather than actually earning those wins.

There is a lot of stuff going on PH. We need to make it to the summer.

How could anyone conclude otherwise (than that the 4 game winning streak, which is now a thing of the distant past, and with the team now no better than they were before that winning streak, was a blip that occurred in spite of a horrible coach) at this point?

Bron Jr can shoot better than lonzo, and he's like 12. If we do end up keeping JJ, and acquire Ball... we'll have the 2 worst shooters in the league. Good times.
