I wouldn't call it an upset. Giants are at home having won 4 in a row. Cardinals are a hail mary away from 5 defeats. If anything Giants should be favorites.
Totally agree.

We should be underdogs going into this game.

NYG are playing good ball right now and we are falling apart.

This!!! BC, I've been screaming at KK to call more gashing type runs. A deliberate up the middle scamper once the receivers clear the LOS. I don't need it 10 times a game, just 3 or 4. That in addition to his outside options to throw or run. Where is this offensive ingenuity our coach had been lauded for?! The offense has gotten worse and worse each week and has been herky-jerky at best. No pop or continuity!
Totally agree.

Where is the creativity?

I thought KK was going to revolutionize our offense with new looks.

We are very predictable and easy for DC's to counter.

2nd week in a row I get to see it on FOX Im hoping this one we win.

The giants are a well coached team it's interesting I have a neighbor who's a Giants fan she said she actually hopes Daniel Jones doesn't start she thinks they're better without him. He can make plays the other QB's don't but he turns the ball over so much it impacts the way they play. They're a very sound fundamental team, they run the ball, they set up play action, they play fundamentally sound defense. They're giving up less than 20 PPG during their win streak and she said it's because we're not turning the ball over nearly as much so the defense doesn't have to defend short fields.

Also remember last year talking about Leonard Williams and how the Jets wouldn't get much for him. They got a 3 and a 5 from the giants, the 5 can become a 4 and it will, why? Because Williams is having his career best year, 8.5 sacks, 2.5 sunday against Seattle and is playing up to the pre draft predictions on him and he's likely going to get a big contract since he's on a franchise tag. NOt saying he's Reggie White but again sometimes you have to look at the situation the player is in and look past the numbers and realize what he could do in YOUR system. Good solid player in a good system with a very good new DC in NY and suddenly at 26 years old he looks like the guy the Cards will be very worried about blocking on Sunday. Is he Aaron Donald not even close, but he's a good player.

This is all down to coaching.

Last year this was the worst trade ever. Gettleman was trash. Then he signed him to a big deal too (because what choice did he have after the trade?) and it was the worst FA deal NYG have ever done. Etc etc etc

Giants fans don't feel that way so much now and it's all down to coaching.

Bad coaching = bad players
Good coaching = good players

The Pats have spent the last decade taking UDFA's and players considered average or worse at other teams and winning championships with them because of good coaching.

And teams like the Brown's, stacked with talent got 5-6 wins the last two years because of bad coaching.

We all moan about player performance because it's what we see but a lot of the time its simply bad coaching.

Patrick Graham is doing a nice job there.

Coaching absolutely but also seeing how someone fits in your system. Williams is a 3-4 DE who can in a pinch play inside as a DT. He's not a great pass rusher, 8.5 is his career high and he probably won't do much better in sacks in his career, doesn't have the burst. But he's a very good player, he is good against the run, he does his job, he occupies blockers, he stands tall in the middle and bothers the QB etc.

I saw a bit of their game against Seattle in one of those scouting tape things and basically what they did is create an umbrella around Wilson, like everyone is doing with us, try to keep the edges high to take away those sideways throws, and collapse the middle to make it harder for Kyler to just take off up the gut, make him throw over DL's not around them and if he runs make it between defenders not around defenders if he's going outside he has to go way around the edge guy to get there. Like in the Rams game when it looked like Kyler had some room but to get around the edge he lost a bit of footing and then Donald chasing him he tripped and fell. If the Edge guy was in tighter he gets outside faster and gets the corner for a nice gain, but they made him run way around the edge and that allowed Donald to get into the play and Kyler slipped. They are going to do exactly that to us, we have to figure out how to beat it.

The advantage is they don't have anybody like Donald, they have good players but they don't have a wrecking crew. If you saw last night what he did to NE it showed it again, Newton was so worried about Donald it screwed up the whole game. And the biggest play of the game was Donald grabbing the RB quickly on a screen which led to a pick six when it was still a close game.

I feel the same way. I think if Daniel Jones starts that will be to the Cardinals advantage.

her comment was interesting she said when Jones plays they take more chances as an offense because he can make more plays, but it also leads to more turnovers and more negative plays. So the less talented QB's are better because they don't beat themselves the way Jones does. He still takes a ton of sacks, unlike Kyler he hasn't cut that down, and of course he's a big fumble guy so the sacks not only kill drives they often end them. Kyler has had 2 fumbles in recent games on strip sacks himself so he needs to get better at that.

The one thing he does much better than their other QB's is run the ball, but coming off a hammy it would seem unlikely he'll be 100% to run the ball. Gallman has been good for them I got him off waivers in fantasy and he's been terrific. And we have to cover the TE Engram he's been really good of late. Hoping Simmons is healthy and we see more of him don't think the other LB's can even try to stay with Engram so if Simmons isn't out there better have a safety or even a slot CB on Engram. The interesting thing on them is they are VERY run heavy in the redzone, only 9 passing TD"s all season in the year of the passing TD.
