Ok it is watts breakouts game time, our division is why we needed him. Can we trust JJ enough in the middle to blitz Collins and Simmons, it’s all about timing, hopefully Vance has a feel for the rams now. I mean QB not the offense changed, we can do this defensively. Offensively seems Kylee can crap 30 points - but really feel it would benefit. To set the tone with Connor early, chase bless his heart, can not set the tone in a slug fest, he’s a hole taker not a hole maker. Gotta make rams defense pay for playing us one dimensional, not with a whiny lil backhand, need to push them from point A to point B against their will, make their new stadium curse that bird.

I have so little respect for Joseph. He’s absolutely horrendous. I rewatched the Cardinals game in depth & continuously rewound the tape to watch EVERY big running play that Jax had. Without fail, Hicks was almost always who they ran at. The dude NEVER attempts to plug a gap, and I mean never. He moves side to side & is almost always either held up by an Olineman or too damn slow to make a difference. Wake the hell up Vance!!!!
Yeah, respect is a tough word for me, but I definitely am not a believer is Vance or his scheme. I don't believe it elevates players and it dependent on players consistently winning one on one matchups. For a guy who developed under Wade Phillips he also has overly-complex schemes that slow players down vs having them react quickly. And don't get me started on his blitz schemes.

Playing devils advocate I would point out we have played the 2 best pure RB's in the league in Henry and Cook. Closed one of them down. And James Robinson had the 5th most yards last year. That's 3 top 5 running backs.

On top of that I'm not sure how much of Vance scheme requires Hicks to gap fill. Especially when in base 3-4. In base each DL has a gap assignment and it's Hicks job to mop up the errors and cover.

Hopefully Kyler and the Oline step it up this time.

It's funny as I'm far more chill about the Rams game than the Jags as I expect a loss.

I get far more nervous for the games we should win.
