The Wolves owner is suffering some jilted lover syndrome. A sure sign of a dysfunctional franchise is the ownership/front office kicking guys in the ass on their way out the door.

Of course Cavs ownership did the identical thing when James left, a nuance that seems to be lost on Love.

Yeah, I'd certainly call the Cavs a dysfunctional franchise. They're probably going to win a few titles in the next several years, purely by virtue of dumb luck and a dash of geography.

When their GM wins exec of the year it is going to be humorous.

You mean Phoenix-raised, David Griffin?

Yeah, he may or may not be a good GM, he just got the job. The previous GM, Chris Grant, mucked things up royally. Bad drafts, bad signings, stupid trades. Griffin is merely the benefactor of inheriting the easiest mess to clean up in NBA history. Stumbled backasswards into the #1 pick in the best draft in a decade, and then have the best player of the current generation sign with you mostly out of guilt. Griffin is going along a nice free ride, it will probably be 5 years before we can separate his prowess as a GM from his LeBron centered good luck.

I totally agree. Even in his time in Phoenix there wasn't enough information to make an assessment of him, IMHO.

Agree with Love on this one. The Wolves wouldn't even have been in this position had they signed him to a 5 year deal, and the return they got for him under the circumstances is great. Besides, I'm not sure how seriously anyone should be taking the Wolves' owner's basketball comments. He hasn't exactly been helping his own case in that regard.

Either way, it'll be interesting to see what Love decides for next year. People seem to treat his reported interest in Los Angeles as gospel, but it would be amusing in a way to see it happen, since it would blow up all the careful orchestrations of this off-season. He'd probably get the Dwight Howard treatment on the way out; accused of choosing comfort over championships, as if playing where you want to play is such a bad thing to want. But then, he'd be coming back to our conference and helping the Lakers...something I don't generally support.

he's not going to LA. not only would he be giving up about 30 million dollars, he'd be leaving a title contender to go play for a lottery team with no draft pick next year and very little young talent moving forward... except for a guy who already plays his position.

I wonder if playoff experience is overrated?

Blazers were on top of the league but got bounced quick. Pacers pulled through, although they were the better team they still used that experience to their advantage when they were highly dysfunctional. Spurs were the best even with players playing limited minutes, granted a lot of credit goes to the coach.

Lebron is going to need to take the final shot instead of differing like he did in his first finals with the big 3. I wouldn't rely highly on guys who haven't proven to be playoff material or even help their teams to a winning record.

It is when you have the best player in the planet on your team. LeBron has enough playoff and Finals experience to make up for the rest of the team.

I agree with Lebron needing to take the final shot because I don't trust Kyrie Irving.
