They are wondering on the radio if this means Cam is going to be out for awhile.

I'm not sure what to make of it unless the Suns plan to trade a forward.

Suns gave up cash considerations.

I hope the Suns have another trade in the works for a 4/5 because this doesn't help.

they didn’t give any assets up for him. But I am a little confused about getting another wing.

It doesn't make sense unless the Suns have another trade lined up.

Craig is making $1,678,854 on an expiring contract.

Taking injury concerns out of the equation I'm more baffled.

I just think he's a good value. He's a good defender who played 20 mpg for the Nuggets in the regular season and playoffs last year. Not bad for giving nothing in return.
Definitely not a Sarver move given the last 10 years. So that's something. We just don't give cash away for a player. Until now.

I liked Craig when he played for the Nuggets. He was very physical. His play often reminded me of a power forward.

Still have hope for the Suns adding a 4/5.

Craig was often the Nuggets best defender.

Bridges, Craig and Nader are going to torture teams defensively at forward.

I think Craig can play power forward in spot duty.

My fear is that this signals the Suns' continued intent to play wings at the 4, an approach that has failed miserably over and over again.

I don't mind the acquisition in it's own right, but if Cam and Nader are coming back, all it does is add to our area of strength, giving us 5 rotation wings while still having zero power forwards. The only way to give them all playing time is to play wings at power forward, which puts us as a large disadvantage on both ends of the court and makes it that much more likely that Ayton will continue to regress, as he simply cannot hold down the interior fort by himself.

When you can get a player like Craig for pretty much nothing you do it, whether he is a need or not. You never know when injury/Covid stuff can pop up.

Agreed...but the team desperately needs another big and now doesn't have the roster spot to bring one in.

If James Jones had passed on Torrey Craig for cash I would be upset. I lost track of him when he went to the Bucks.

Craig stood out when he played for the Nuggets. He has some of the same qualities as Jerami Grant in regard to shooting and defense.

Also Craig at 6'7" and 225 pounds is not small.

Craig is a very poor shooter. Good defensive and energy guy, not unlike Bo Outlaw.

He has some bulk, a la Crowder, but he doesn't provide the rim protection and interior defense and scoring we need.

We got him for nothing, so can't complain there, but our biggest need remains unaddressed, and I am fearing that this makes it more likely it will continue to stay unaddressed.
