I like that group of 4 Cards. They are good players. Maybe not quite the same as the 9'ers 4, but still pretty good.

This is who people want to spend $25m/year - #1 WR money on?

Tee Higgins?

No thank you.

This. Watching the Niners yesterday trot out a grouping of Samuel, Aiyuk, Kittle, McCaffrey against a group of Wilson, Dortch, McBride, and Conner should tell you why the Cardinals lost that game.
When they have 4 weapons that are superior to your best weapon, you're in real trouble!

Tee Higgins should be a name on our list, not necessarily the name.

Michael Pittman, Jr.
Mike Evans
Gabe Davis
LOL… Tee Higgins, Mike Evans and Michael Pittman aren’t going to be targets for this team and even if they were, why would they all leave better situations to play for one of the biggest jokes in the entire league? We gonna go wayyyyy overboard and pay them out of this solar system money? When do the Cardinals ever do that?

While the idea is intriguing, not every young receiver is going to hit the ground running. The Cardinals have little invested in the WR corps right now and can afford a big contract.
It is a really good draft class so the hit rate should be higher than the average. Also, the low cost element makes it more palatable than dumping 19 mil per year on a guy who Kyler may not be able to throw the ball to.

I said it in another thread, Derrick Henry probably does more for this offense than Tee HIggins does. If you want bang for your FA buck, look to a RB.

I think it's foolish to think that Mike Evans or Michael Pittman are going to leave their current homes. It's part of Monti's job to convince them that 15% more guaranteed money will be incentive enough to leave.

It will be an interesting sign if the Cards sign marquee free agents at both IDL and WR. We'll see if and when it happens.

And when we don’t, I can’t wait for people to absolve Monty of blame.

Ah… so THIS year it’s gonna be okay to wayyyyy overpay guys. Gotcha.

Also, when have the Cardinals EVER been the kind of FA spenders that broke the bank to overwhelm one of these guys with money to leave much better franchises? Oh… never? Right.
The Cardinals have to spend money since they rolled over money this year.
