After that performance, he's staying in Denver. He dominated the Carolina offense.

Peyton Manning retiring frees up $21.5 million for the Broncos which gives them $31 million in cap space. They may lose one of their middle linebackers, but otherwise can keep the band together for another year.

Just can't see Osweiler leading a team to the Super Bowl. Maybe I'm wrong.

They have several free agents on that D as well IIRC. What happens if Manning retires and Osweiler bolts? They could easily take a step back and Miller might want to go elsewhere even if franchised.

Your right. Manning is essentially 3rd tier QB, Brock is only popular here because he went to ASU. He will sign a reasonable contract with Denver, and I doubt Arians is all that impressed with him, I am sure he has his succession plan post Palmer and it does not include Brock.

Be thankful you didn't see the Steelers/Vikings Super Bowl.

Or the Cowboys and Dolphins. You know, there were some awful Super Bowls over the years, no way this makes top five of "most boring" ever. At least it wasn't put away until late in the game. How many Super Bowls were OVER, by halftime? A whole damn bunch.

Von Miller is the guy I want us to sign most and yes I would give up two first round picks for him. Will we be able to come up with the money, that's the million dollar question.

There is no question. He'll be a Denver Bronco for a very long time.

There's a better chance Demarcus Ware is a Card.

I think he stays with Denver if the money is close but if it's not I think he goes to the highest bidder. They all go for the money. The only question for me is can we be the highest bidder.

Uh, franchise tag for sure. This thread is meaningless.

Could you find a better pass rusher with two picks in the first round? The answer is probably hell no. I do this trade all day, every day.

Always been a bronco. I wanted him to fall to us at pick 5 in that draft so badly but Denver picked third and grabbed him.

Sounds like there's a bit of confusion regarding the Franchise Tag. There are two types:

Exclusive: Most expensive tag, but the player cannot negotiate with other teams

Non-Exclusive: less expensive, but player has the right to negotiate a deal with other teams, and the player's previous team gets compensated two first-round picks from the new team

Teams also have the right to match on non-exclusive I believe. So DEN is in complete control no matter what.

He was unbelievable last night, and has been dominant for pretty much his whole career. He is, however, one screw up away from being suspended for a full year, and as far as I know, once he's at this stage, he's staying there for the rest of his career. I know how amazing he looked yesterday, and we desperately need a pass rusher of his caliber, but that's a whole lot of risk that I'd be scared to take, and I'm not even getting paid to take it.

No

1. We don't have multiple pass rushers. Von Miller can do what he does, because they also have Demarcus Ware, whod be the #1 pass rusher on virtually any team in the NFL. Furthermore, they also have a good dline with Malik Jackson (A FA id like to pickup), Derek Wolfe, and a very, very strong secondary.

Investing all that in Von when you have no other pieces, is like signing a FA megastar WR to a 18M contract when you have John skelton at QB.

2. Yall need to understand Von Miller is a knucklehead, and the reason hes doing so well in his personal life is because of Demarcus Ware being a father figure.

Im not saying he regresses, but who knows what happens if you take Von away from Demarcus, and give him all this money.

3. Use those 1sts on pass rushers. And the 2nd rounders on pass rushers as well. One is bound to pan out. And hell be way cheaper than Von Miller

That was the point I was going to make - he is on thin ice with the league already, having served a 6 game suspension for not only failing, but trying to cheat the system.
