A Humble Suggestion:

Require that QB's be required to wear knee braces.

In fact, require that all players wear protective equipment tailored to their position.

No doubt the added equipment would slow the game down a bit, but it would (a) cut down on injuries and (b) slow down everyone equally.

There are too many injuries - many of them career-ending. Maybe if this policy was adopted from Pee Wee leagues on-up, the decline in kids participating in tackle football would reverse itself.

Wearing that stuff when you don't need to actually makes your legs weaker your legs become dependent on them.
