First world problems. Trust me, they can co-exist, and in certain packages, share the field together.

Exactly. One example would be running a 3 wide set (Fitz, John Brown, DJ) and keeping a AP as the lone back.

If the Oline holds up and DJ gets healthy again, the options are quite staggering

Small portion of crow for me. I didn't think he'd put up the numbers or have the impact on the play-action passing game that he did, but I was glad to see Keim make the move. CJ never showed anything in any game this year pre or regular season. Something had to change.

Granted, I think the return of Humphries, Boone, and removal of Boehm probably had the biggest impact on the running game. Still a lot of Bucs players in our backfield regularly, and I'm hoping we can get that cleaned up some... but if they didn't have AD squared up, he still looks powerful enough to rip through arm tackles.

That was a well needed win. Oh, and dang our D is dreadful without PP on the field. No doubt, he is our best player.

Go Cards!!!

1. I think DJ + Boone on the left side brings the o-line to "functional" -- which is a giant improvement.

2. I dont know if AP has the long breakaway speed anymore, but the "come the line, stop and cut, and accelerate for 7 yards" is still there --- i will be okay with that

I was skeptical about Peterson but the Cardinals landed him on the cheap so why not. The Legend of Keim continues.

Credit to our OL today as well. Getting half of our OL back was a major shot in the arm. They were opening big holes for Peterson against a solid run defense.

Still, even with the upgrades on to the OL, the Cardinals trash backup running backs can't even hold a candle to the running of Peterson yesterday. I just love his downhill style. Tampa was throwing everything at Peterson and as a result I haven't see Larry this open like EVER. Just the treat of a running game has given life to this offense. The threat of Peterson has made this offense potentially deadly.

This trade looks to be the shot in the arm that this team needed. Factor in the return of several key OL and the Cardinals finally have their identity back on offense!

Last week the Cardinals were on life support and the priest was on call for last rites. Yesterday they skipped out of the hospital ready to take on the world.

Someone brought up the okoye/word backfield. But this one would likely be even better if both are healthy and plying up to their abilities.

I did, and I think that's a possibility, but it's still awhile before DJ gets back to potentially unleash that as I'm sure you know. DJ is a better receiver, and I think when you couple that with his humbleness, we can keep both happy.

I love the thought of both in the backfield and then you send DJ out wide. (usually this would indicate a 100 percent pass play and teams still found it hard to cover DJ with an empty backfield). Well now we could legitimately leave AD back there and run. So do you try to stop DJ or AD?

Also for anyone that missed it, Arians was the Chiefs running backs coach when Okoye/Word were a thing.

This is what I was thinking about back when DJ emerged and a little bit when AD was a free agent this year. If it can be pulled off, well this describes it perfectly.

I didn't think AP would have more yards per carry than CJ just because of the bad O-line play, man I was wrong.

Hope he can sustain this level, that would be awesome.
