one month and some of you are crazy. What is going on with all of the passive aggressive talk. I have managed people for years and it always amazes me how people respond to a lack of control and mis-information...chill out and let our team come together. If you have to rant...do it but I think that the quick assumptions are WAY overboard.

To think that would happen on a sports team forum what a shock.:p

I am only sad that the majority of people who need to read this, probably already glossed over it and moved onto another thread.

That's the beauty of the internet, when you don't like something, you can just move along.

Or you can make a post which basically whines about whiners being whiners.

hmmmm...that wasn't passive aggressive on your part. Not really whining. I think that I was making a statement and there is a difference my friend.

You got that right. I just view this site for the most part and hardly ever post. It sure is fascinating to watch as rumors and straight up lies and misinformation are taken and twisted into conspiricies and wrongdoing. It's a friggin football team for Christ's sake!

While I agree, after getting so close to the Holy Grail is it not natural for one to be anxious about the direction of the team - especially with the FO having a less than shining history and the team having so many question marks?

3 years ago, I started preacing that this team had turned the corner and was on the way to becoming a winning franchise. I was practically laughed off the board. This past season we went to the Superbowl.

In the past, every bad thing that happened to this team was blamed on the front office. Now that we are moving forward, no one wants to give the FO any credit. If it wasn't for them, we wouldn't have Whis. If it wasn't for them, we wouldn't have Grimm.

Over the past 5 seasons, starting with the Green era, our drafting has gone from just plain horrible to one of the better teams at drafting. We've built up a core of players who believe in themselves and each other. We've managed to hold on to most of our top players and have enough talent to get to the Superbowl. All of this has come about since M Bidwill stepped in and RG was given more authority.

This isn't just a one shot season we are talking about here. It's been a steady progression of this team always moving forward for the past 5 years. I see no reason for this team to regress. We have the same people who built this organization still running it and the two main cogs still coaching it. We finally have an organization that understands football and what it takes to win. Are they frugal? Absolutely, just like Pittsburg or New England. They don't have the money to throw around like Jones or Snyder, so they have to be smarter. They are and this past season has proved that.

This is why I'm not worried about what is happening and how this off-season is being handled. I've followed this team faithfully since 1962 and believe me, the team that took the field for SB 43 was the best Cardinal team I've ever seen. Just keep up the good work FO.

Great post! Some people will never be happy no matter how good they have it. 6 years ago this ship was headed in the wrong direction with a full head of steam. The FO has finally got it stopped and headed in the right direction. Is it perfect? Hell no, but at least we're making progress. The moves the team is making aren't just for short term success but for continued long term success in the mold of the Steelers and Patriots. We never made any big splash signings the past 2 years but improved the team drastically by adding depth. I think everyone needs to be patient and let mgt do their thing. They got us within 30 seconds from the title so I think they deserve the benefit of the doubt.

Not so fast.

I despised the DG era but this revisionist history is too much.

Basically what happend is Green drafted or brought in most of the players on the team that got us there.

Whis and Grimm coached them up true and I credit Michael and Graves for having the sense to hire him but the truth is Graves as a FO person only gets so much credit, because he did draft Pace and Johnson back to back remember?

The improvements are vast but Graves just dosen't impress me and never has, he's a nice guy but I don't get why anyone thinks he's some kind of main driver here, more like a passenger that's now driving, we'll see.

I strongly disagree.

Graves did make a mistake with the Pace/Johnson debacle but that was when he was new on the job. We also have to remember that both those players are still productive players in the league after several years. It's not that they were terrible players, they just never measured up to what Suggs achieved. You don't give him any credit for learning a thing or two since then.

Remember someone picked DRC this year when most wanted a running back. They then picked Hightower and got raked over the coals for that pick too.

The whole board howled when they brought in Gandy a couple of years ago. If you look at what was expected and what really ended up happening that signing has to be looked on as a stroke of genius.

I know everyone wants to give credit to Green and now Whiz for the drafts but who picked Hayes, Wilson, and Boldin? The only constant through the drafts for this century has been Rod Graves.
