Past Johnson, I have not been too thrilled with our backup WRs. I know one cannot expect them to be close to the same level as Q, Fitz and Johnson but it seems the rest are 90% special teams and 10% WR material.

Well, most teams, other than NE, will struggle when down their 4th WR. Who does Indy have after Wayne,Harrison, and Gonzalez? I think it's Roy Hall, rookie from Ohio State.

I think that this is the best depth we have had at WR in as long as I can remember. Johnson is a good possession reciever and Urban and Breaston both give us the field stretchers we have been lacking for 10yrs. Urban hasn't been with the team long enough to be judged yet and I think Breaston will continue to improve. I really liked Ahmad Merritt in the preseason and hope he makes a comback next year.

Someone needs to show something, 'cause BJ is gone after this year.

I've seen enough of Urban to know he needs to quit the NFL and get a job with the Circus as a juggler.

Has Bryant Johnson shown enough to deserve a big contract after this season?

He's shown enough to be a decent #2 WR for team that already has a speed reciever. He's another player who has looked a lot better this year with the new coaching staff. But not sure if he fits what the Cards need with 2 big WRs already.

I guess I'm alone, but gosh I wish Leron McCoy was with the team still. He had deep speed and good enough hands for a backup

The question is fair. What type of money would be worthwhile to keep him. We really don't have anyone else at this time. I curse everytime BJ drops a TD pass, but was curious as to what kind of money it would take?

dude's deserving of 1.5 mill/year MAX. In 3 games in Q's absence, as a number two with a Pro-Bowl WR opposite him, he's put up 157 yards and no touchdowns. Anything over 1.5 million and we're wasting money.

I'm guessing that he will overprice himself. If i were him I would want to play elsewhere just to have the opportunity to start full-time.

Notice that while there is a big push from the FO to get Dansby re-upped there has been nothing about keeping BJ.

But this is just my opinion and I wouldn't mind seeing him stick around. He does make big plays for us from time to time.

Yeah, I thought he showed something early in his career to eventually take over for Johnson and be the speed guy. What happened? Lacking in special teams ability?
