Very rarely do I beat the mods to BIG news like this. Glad to see him out of the NFC :)

They need something on offense considering Lynch could be suspended for a length of time pretty soon.

TO is always good for One year before he goes crazy, so as a mercenary he works well. Bills will be improved greatly on offense.

It's on NFL.com.

Buffalo has the right idea with the one year deal.

I wouldn't have TO on my team if he was the last player left in the world. He's a cancer and will always will be. Getting him on your team does nothing but ruin it. Things never change with his crazy tirades.

Agreed. Buffalo was wise to sign him to a one-year deal.

Wonder which of the other teams were among the "several" interested that Rosenhaus was claiming. :sarcasm: Seems to me you'd wanna lock up more than a one year deal if you're TO.

This is awesome, I wonder if TO's head explodes from the less attention he'll receive in Buffalo. Incoming freefall...

I agree with the earlier post, I feel terribly sorry for Trent Edwards, having TO as your go to guy and being a young QB has got to SUCK.

1 year deal hahahahahaa, reap what you sew TO! That had to be a pride swallowing negotiation.

Can't wait for the train wreck!

Ryan, RB Marshawn Lynch just pleaded guilty to several of the gun charges against him in California. Remember the NFL already nailed him for his hit-and-run last year? He's almost certain to be suspended a bunch of games.

Buffalo has one good speed backup RB but maybe not much else. They may go toa Cards-like attack and throw 75% of the time. It could work for them, depending on how many touches TO gets per game.

Owens' history suggests that everything is fine and dandy and then he will implode and take the QB down with him. However he's never really had a strong leader at QB except for the brief period of time he played with Steve Young. Jeff Garcia, Donovan McNabb and Tony Romo were weak leaders, hopefully Trent Edwards can lead.

I really doubt that Owens can infect a locker room in 1 season so maybe the Bills will be able to squeeze TO's remaining talent out and show him the door before he does his usual dog and pony tricks. The guy has never been in trouble with the law, by all accounts he works hard in practice, shows up on time, etc. So we'll see what happens

Where are you getting that from? TO is mysteriously aching or hurting at almsot every single training camp as far back as I can remember. He has been in the news every year during TC while with the cowboys for some reason or another. This all happened in one(first) year in Dallas:

2006 Seaon & Training Camp:

March 18: Owens signs a three-year, $25 million free-agent contract with the Cowboys. At his introductory news conference, Owens says he’s going to be a better teammate and a better man. He also says, "Getcha popcorn ready."

Aug. 3: Owens injures his hamstring in training camp in Oxnard, Calif. Over the course of the next few weeks, he seldom practices with the team.

Aug. 25: Fined $9,500 for missing a team meeting and rehab session and for being late to a meeting.

Nov. 3: Owens says he’s sleeping in team meetings.

Dec. 6: The day after returning from Los Angeles for a 33rd birthday bash he held for himself, Owens says he didn’t listen to a speech Parcells gave earlier in the week about what it takes to win a championship. "I must have went to sleep on that one. ... [Mentally] I was already in LA. ... He’ll have to redo it."

Buffalo has Fred Jackson, a more than capable starting RB, Lynch will be lucky if he can get his starting role back after he'll be suspended for 8 games or whatever. More than likely he may be moved into a split time where he gets under 50% of the carries, that'd send a message.

I'd be very happy with Fred Jackson starting on this team. He'd be a huge upgrade over Hightower.
