The very definition of cutting off your nose to spite your face. Had they acceded to ALL of our demands, it would have cost them approx 47 million per year. Now they’re apparently about to lose TEN TIMES that amount.xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
Is there a chance that they're using the strikes as a scapegoat for their incompetence in other areas? They've had a number of huge flops this year (DC anyone?) and I'm wondering if they're trying to shift those numbers to the strike bucket so then can then blame the writers and actors for the poor numbers. The very definition of cutting off your nose to spite your face. This is the wrong argument to make. Paul is a multi-millionaire. His argument should be if someone who had as big of a role on Breaking Bad isn’t even making residual money on the show, think about what that means for the co-stars, the day players, etc that depend on that money to get them through hard times.xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media

Yes… he does deserve streaming residuals, but this is a fight for the middle class in Hollywood not the upper crust.
Yeah… I’ve just had a couple conversations with people outside the industry who miss that point.I interpreted it to mean what you're saying, but I can see where some might miss that. Better for him to clearly state that it's a big problem with streaming, especially for the guys further down the totem pole struggling to get by.
Yeah, the messaging has to be that it's for the average writer/actor and not for the stars. You don't want a Lars gold-plated shark tank type of situation.I interpreted it to mean what you're saying, but I can see where some might miss that. Apple ain’t gonna do that. Neither will Amazon or Netflix.
