I also think the Cards will sign a veteran. I assume that the Cards know that they can always sign Robert Alford, so they're waiting for a veteran to be cut or one of the free agent corners to lower their price.

I don't know why people are angry about this. It's pretty obvious we are going to wait on camp cuts to maybe find someone who is useful.

Meh...the upside is he saw a crap ton of passing offenses in the Mountain West...a little bit lesser competition, for sure, but he's had a lot of game film going against offenses that sling it around and he's held his own.

i think given the premium placed on the position - if you are a vet FA CB you wait for training camp / pre season injuries for starters to max whatever comp is coming your way
