All speculation Russ. I may very well be true however I take the position of this thread being who is the one player who you would take period, and from an impact point having Washington and Matthews inside would give Horton so many options and cause so much havoc for the other team it would be like a kid in a candy store at Christmas.

I think we can pretty much agree no one player on offense is going to turn around our offense whether it be a RB or a LT or a WR, so why not look at the defense and turn it into a monster. Matthews gives us that guy who can cause great pressure on the QB and he will make DWash even better because now every offense needs to know where Matthews is. This will allow DWash to have an even greater impact on defense.

Sure its speculation but he and Cushing were best friends and workout partners for their careers at USC and there were pics on the web of both of them at various points in their workouts that made it pretty obvious they were on steroids. Which is why I say matthews as an acquisition is risky, with Cushing caught he's the most obvious guy out there. The NFL has said they want to crack down on steroids and HGH, the way you do that is go after the high profile users, that's him to a T.

He's a terrific player, but last year he wasn't. He reported to camp last year somewhere between 10 and 20 pounds lighter. He said it was because of the lockout and maybe it was but it sure was a coincidence that Cushing had tested positive the year before IMO.

But I did hijack the thread and I apologize for that.

I speculate that Lance Armstrong was doping.

Matthews and Cushing are roiders. So is JJ Watt. You can call it speculation if you want but I guess it's also speculative to think OJ Simpson murdered 2 people. Either way, it's true.

You don't have to anymore look at the World Sports board and then go to USADA's website and read some of the stuff they have on Lance. It's not speculation anymore.

According to the unbiased opinion of Armstrong's lawyer it is :D:

Armstrong's attorney, Tim Herman, called the report "a one-sided hatchet job -- a taxpayer funded tabloid piece rehashing old, disproved, unreliable allegations based largely on axe-grinders, serial perjurers, coerced testimony, sweetheart deals and threat-induced stories."

Well he forgot to discuss how Lance testified under oath he'd stopped working with doping doctor Michele Ferrari but the USADA now has bank evidence found by the Italians during a 2006 investigation of Ferrari. It shows Lance paid Ferrari over 1 million dollars during the time he trained with him and provides documentation and transfers that prove Lance lied under oath, that he was in fact still training with and paying Ferrari when he testified he wasn't.

He needs to give up but he knows if he does he'll be filing for bankruptcy.

I was looking at the stuff online at lunch today if they really want to they can put Lance in jail for the stuff they have on him, and his ex wife too.

Actually Russ I tend to agree with on Cushing and Matthews. There is a good probability they do something, however they are probably among 100s that do something in the NFL. What I would like is your opinion on what the possibilities are of having two guys like DWash and Matthews playing together and what it could do for our defense.

I believe it would make the defense substantially better and turn it from a good defense to one that could be compared to the old Bears or the old Steeler defenses. Rock solid and nightmares for OCs.

Go to the USADA website and there's a big link on the front page that has PDF's of all the documentation they have on Lance. It's over a thousand pages so you're better off trying to find a summation of it.

Lance paid Ferrari about 210K AFTER he said he severed ties with him and it wasn't a I owed him payment it was regular payments, bank transfers etc.

He's a great player but I just think if you're asking me what one player I would want it wouldn't be him because I think the odds are so great he gets caught.

If I believed he was clean yeah he'd be awesome.

If you picked one player who would make a difference for the defense who would it be?

I'd take Janoris Jenkins. He'd be great opposite PP21. Plus it would hurt the defense of a division rival. Hopefully Jamell Fleming will catch up to Jenkins and we'll be set at Corner for the next 5 years.

Probably Patrick Willis. Him and DWash together plus as Duckjake says it weakens an opponent.

well that sucks. Rules are rules, and he should be punished just like anyone else. But damn, Lance was quite an inspiring story until this. Just a shame. One more role model gone bad. I almost wish they'd leave some of this **** alone so kids can still look up to somebody with all the trash on TV nowadays. Specifically "M(oron)TV". Still rather my kids look up to a guy that used steroids to help achieve absolute dominance of a sport than Jersey Shore or 16 and Pregnant kinda ****

Especially considering that his sport was rife with steroids and blood doping and every other "cheat" anyone could come up with. I think most of us have realized for many years now that Lance was just as dirty as the rest of the top riders. I don't think this continued witch hunt helps anyone but OTOH, it does get tiring to see people flaunt the rules with arrogance and impunity.
