We don't need someone else to tell us what most of us already know.

Thanks for nothing.

No kidding. There's already been about a thousand articles about bad fan bases. What's new or different about this? Waste of time reading it.

the dude wrote an article and thought we may want to see it because we are part of it.

Ill be sure to never post anything I wrote on here, dont want to waste your guys time.

I was also looking for your guys' assessment on what I said about Arizona fans in the article and whether or not should be higher or lower on the list...

My only problem is with the Coyotes statement. The reason their attendance is down is because it's a PITA to drive all the way out to the arena a few times a week during rush hour. I know, because after the lockout I had season tickets that I shared with a few people. After the season was over I was glad to not have to drive out there anymore. They called me to renew and I told them no way. I love hockey BTW, but when you pay to watch a game and you get to 25% of them late it kind...no it really sucks. The Cardinals on the other hand are a different story. There is one game a week and it's almost always on the weekend.

I hear ya on that but I added the Yotes to the article because their attendance is usually pretty bad unless like LA is in town or Detroit or some Canadian team when they come play here.... other then that attendance is pretty bad on a regular basis

I guess the term Come Early and Stay Late doesn't apply to LA fans as many of them come late and leave early. When one of the most famous video footage in sports history, Bob Gibson hit that pinch hit homer in the 1988 World Series, is still talked about how you could see cars leaving the ballpark rather then Home Run is very embarrasing.

Kirk Gibson?

You have to keep in mind how new all 3 teams besides the Suns are. Give them some time to build a fan base. It takes time when most of the people that live in the valley are from somewhere else. The next generation will be better for our local teams having grown up around them. It would be the same if I were to move to lets say Denver. Do you think I would just become a Rockies, Nuggets, Broncos or a**lanche fan? Ahh hell no. I will say this though. The teams that are winning now will have more fans in the future. D-back and Suns are in great shape. Hopefully the Coyotes and Cardinals start some long playoff streaks soon. That def will help a lot.

I hope so because in each season since the Dbacks won the world series their attendance has been getting worse, it just doesn't make any sense how the fan base actually at the games has gone down, especially since they won the world series in 2001

I hope so also. But most of the fan in this state are pretty fickle. The D-back did kind of do a one and done thing though. Sometimes loosing for a while before winning one is better. It makes winning it that more sweet. Imagine if/when the Suns or Cardinals win the title. This town will go insane. When the D-back won it it's was all rah rah at the time, but not like it would be if the Suns were to win it.

id say attendance is down #1 because it is hockey and #2 it is hockey in the desert.

the main problem with arizona is the majority of people here are not from here. As generations keep coming here and having children, homer fanbase will expand.

How am I spamming if I talk about a topic relating to the cardinals or arizona sports in general, I don't just add random posts, I talk about the Cardinals and I have added more then just links to bleacher report. I write for bleacher report and I come here so you guys can read my stuff and give me feedback.

You are using this site's traffic to feed into your site's traffic. You are not adding independent content to this site, only a link back to yours. By the very definition, a version of spamming.
